The reviews of this place are very promising. However there are some details that were disappointing. They don't have a wine list. When asked about the wine menu, the waiter says that the wine menu is in his head. So you are not allowed to see the whole choice and prices yourself. Unless you spot a bottle on the wall that you want to have and can read this information yourself. Basically you are left without a choice other than picking the wine that the waiter brings for you. Although we are not wine professionals, it would be much nicer to give a chance to see the possible options and prices in a written way. Here the waiter asks what you like, brings a taster and you decide if you take a glass or a bottle. Is this a way to sell the bottles that are the less demanded or with the best margin?
Food is nice, prepared by a Spanish chef with some interesting twists or in a very classic way. There are some additional food options available but we were not introduced to them. We saw some dishes on other tables. When asked about them, we were given these options. Then we saw a poster about some special shrimp dish. When we asked, we were given these additional dish options. For some reason we were not informed about the day's or week's specials by default.
And then you see that the other table of Spanish speakers is getting a special attention from the Spanish chef who not only pampers them but also cleans up...

We visited this place twice during our stay in Prague this week. How could we not, a lovely friendly local wine bar on the same street as our hotel. We loved the personal service we got from Eliska, she was very warm, friendly, and very welcoming. There is no wine list here but instead, they pick a wine for you based on what kind of wine you like, so very unique. We also ordered some cheese to go with our bottle of wine and the food choices here were great, I wish we'd had dinner here as the choice of Tapas looked great. I really can't recommend this place enough, a real gem of a place if you like wine, the service was so great. Eliska, thanks for your care and attention during our visit, it was so nice to have someone talk us through wine, the best temperatures to serve, and the best glasses for each type of wine, including you pouring our wine into the large glasses knowing I really liked them. If we are ever in Prague again, we will visit this place and recommend...
Read moreThis was by far my favorite spot in Prague. The restaurant is small (about 8 tables) and intimate, making it a great place for a date night. The lovely waitress/hostess/sommelier selected excellent wines for us based on our tastes and put together a decadent meat and cheeseboard. We followed with the vegetable salad (refreshing greens with a sweet balsamic dressing) and then the chili and garlic shrimp and shishito peppers. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. A few things to note: this wine bar specializes in Spanish and Austrian wines (not Czech) and the food is also primarily Spanish tapas. We loved this place so much that we canceled our dinner reservations at another restaurant in Prague to return the next night. Prices were extremely reasonable, and you could go here for a drink and a snack or a full dinner....
