A Delicious Dive into Authentic Flavors
I recently had the chance to explore a local Korean restaurant, and it was an absolute treat from start to finish. The moment I entered, I was greeted by the comforting, savory smells of Korean cuisine, and I knew I was in for something special.
Appetizers: The meal began with a variety of banchan (traditional Korean side dishes). Each dish was fresh and flavorful, offering a wonderful preview of the meal to come. Standout items included the spicy-sour kimchi, perfectly balanced in flavor, and a mild yet tangy pickled radish that was crunchy and refreshing. The seasoned spinach (sigeumchi namul) was subtly garlicky and savory, providing a nice contrast to the more intense flavors of the kimchi.
Main Course: For the main course, I tried the Bulgogi, thinly sliced beef marinated in a sweet soy-based sauce, grilled to perfection. The beef was tender, smoky, and juicy, with the sweetness of the marinade balanced by a slight tang and savory notes. The dish was served with a side of warm rice and crispy lettuce leaves for wrapping, which made for an interactive and fun dining experience.
I also sampled the Kimchi Jjigae (kimchi stew), a classic Korean comfort food. The soup was rich and hearty, with bold, spicy flavors that packed a punch, but the slow-cooked pork added a satisfying depth. Paired with steamed rice, it was the perfect balance of spicy, sour, and savory.
For those looking for a sizzling experience, the Hot Stone Bibimbap is a must-try. Served in a sizzling stone bowl, the rice at the bottom crisps up, providing a delightful crunch. Topped with fresh vegetables, a fried egg, and a dollop of spicy gochujang (chili paste), it was a perfect mix of textures and flavors. The heat from the stone made it incredibly satisfying.
Drinks: The drink menu featured traditional Korean options like Soju and Makgeolli (rice wine). I opted for a cold Soju, which complemented the richness of the food, especially the BBQ dishes. For those who prefer non-alcoholic beverages, the Barley Tea was a refreshing and soothing option.
Service & Ambiance: The service was warm and friendly, with the staff eager to explain the menu and make recommendations. The ambiance was inviting—casual yet cozy, with traditional Korean decor that made the space feel like a home away from home. It was the perfect setting for an intimate dinner or a fun group meal.
Overall: This Korean restaurant provides a perfect blend of authenticity, flavor, and hospitality. From the first bite of banchan to the last spoonful of soup, every dish was crafted with care and attention to detail. Whether you're a longtime lover of Korean cuisine or new to the flavors, this place offers something for everyone. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Korean food...
Read moreIt was my first to go Korean restaurant in Prague. But I had to now changed my review after my last visit.
The chef changed the recipe (said the waitress when I told her that the taste changed).
I don’t understand why he changed it when it was already Perfect. The tteokbokki was so watery, like a store bought instant ramen and super super sweet. It was just very disappointing. She did ask if I want to change it but I feel pity to throw away the food so I decided not to change it. This waitress that I talked to was very nice. She is there since the beginning unlike the Asian waitress who was not friendly. Everyone who work here are always nice and this is the first time they have unfriendly waitress like her.
Old review: A new Korean restaurant in Prague @numaru . They have the best street food menu in town. Tteokbokki is cooked perfectly and you can request the spicy level. The Korean pancake Kimchi-buchimgae is tasty, spicy huraideu chicken is well balanced spiced. They give lots of banchan and our favourite is the kimchi and seasoned seaweed. Previous week we ordered the pork shoulder and we think it was their best one from the menu. We ordered their Yuzu lemonade and yuzu bomb (if I am not mistaken) it’s soju+yuzu, mnooomm…

Read moreIm a fan of Koreans, Korean food, Ive been in many Korean restaurants before, but I didn’t like this one. The atmosphere was great no complains about that. I felt like service should be better, waitresses were all young and cute but kind of unprofessional and unconfident, I found it hard to communicate with them or the Korean worker who worked there at same time. For example- I ordered one bottle of water and got the bottle and one glass, I wanted one more glass to share with my partner and all of them didn’t understand me, also had to request 3 times. I ended up having 3 bottles of water. I asked for a fork and one waitress told me- “Yes of course I will give you”, I thought she was really going to have me some forks, but then she just stood there and never came back. She probably thought I would forget about it. I asked again and again and on the forth time one of the waitresses told me “ho we don’t have forks I’m sorry”, why did it take you 4 times instead of just telling me you don’t have any? I dont like being lied to, just lay it on me and tell the truth. not all of us eat with chopsticks, and what is a restaurant with no forks? It seemed weird for me. There were so many dishes missing in the menu, menu itself kind of printed on pages, all torn and bent, very unprofessional. I didn’t like the food. In general didn’t enjoy. They need to first gather themselves together and be a...
