Chill-ee — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

I was thinking for long time if to publish this review. But I have to be fair and can't sleep with knowing other people can experience what I did. I got a tip of this place from local guide Sebastian. No discount was applied as promised, but that's not the point..

First I was waiting by the table with my friend (nobody noticed me for 15mins). Then I checked inside for 2 times (!) owner greeted me. That's it. I sat outside of the restaurant by the different table ony my own.

Mr. owner brought me anybody else's food.. I said I didn't order yet. Nobody noticed me for another 15mins. Then I started reading reviews and found out you have to order INSIDE. So I did.

I was served aster 1 hour of waiting and reminding myself (I have photos of time of my bill and time when my food was brought). People who came after me were of course served before me. I don't really understand why I am the only one here with this kind of review.. I'm not invisible.

Food was just average. Nothing more. Fried pork lard (no that crunchy things inside wasn't French fries lol) can make the sandwich different, but not outstanding. Not to mention this pork product is cheap and not healthy.

Another point is price. 170DKK (23€) for pork sandwich and small glass of beer (0,3l) you make your decision. Both owner and his wife apparently are not in shape of serving guests of their restaurant anymore. I wouldn't visit again. Sorry. I regret giving tips upfront.

Atmosphere of people walking down the street was only bright point of this 2hr long experience. And are worth those 2 stars in my review. I didn't mention not clean tables outside of the restaurant with pieces of vegetable on the tables...

I recently had the pleasure of attending the grand launch of this sandwich shop, and let me tell you, it was an experience that left me speechless. I tried their mozzarella tomato sandwich and their spicy tuna sandwich, and I was blown away.

First, let's talk about the bread. It was simply fantastic. The perfect balance of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It added a wonderful texture to the sandwiches and was clearly made with love and attention to detail.

Now, onto the taste. The mozzarella tomato sandwich was like a flavor explosion in my mouth. The combination of the creamy mozzarella, juicy tomatoes, and fresh pesto was absolutely magical. Each bite was bursting with freshness and the quality of the ingredients was evident.

And let's not forget about the spicy tuna sandwich. It was a taste sensation. The tuna was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice, and the addition of crunchy vegetables added a delightful texture.

Oh, and I can't forget to mention the coffee. It was the perfect accompaniment to my meal. Rich, smooth, and full of flavor.

We were recently in Copenhagen in the Nyhavn area and stumbled upon the Chill-ee sandwich shop. The shop is only one street over from the overly-crowded, touristy Nyhavn canal-strip, but it is a world apart. Set on a lovely tree-lined street, the cafe is inside the Hotel SKT. Annae, and along with a cozy interior, has nice outdoor seating. But the best part are the sandwiches - truly amazing! Everything is homemade daily, including the bread and spreads, and the flavor combinations are unique and unbeatable! The owner, Carina, along with her family and other team members were warm, engaging and a delight to meet.
