We were really excited to find this place, particularly after reading the positive reviews. The staff are all friendly enough and they got us seated quickly. We opted for the seven course tasting menu with the enhanced wine pairing which includes four wines, starting with champagne. Courses one to four came very quickly (too quickly if anything, within just a few minutes of each other). We had finished our champagne by the end of the third course and were left without our next wine for so long that we had to order some more. After the fifth course, we had the longest wait of around thirty minutes. The wait between course six and seven was about twenty minutes; not as bad, but when the first four courses were served within minutes of each other, it all just seemed really inconsistent. Essentially, we felt forgotten about during these long periods, without food, wine or even checking in on, until more food happened to be ready. I did voice my unhappiness to our waitress, who only agreed with me that what I was saying was completely fair, and thanked me for the feedback. We had no complaints about the food, for which I’d give four stars, yet the service is more like two stars (whilst the staff could have keep us updated more on any delays, they are all pleasant enough and seem rushed off their feet, so perhaps they just need more people working there). So for us, four star food + two star service = three stars, an average experience.

We walked in late after the kitchen closed. Nothing around was open serving real food. The chef de cuisine overheard us and asked what we want to eat. Our answer was fish. He prepared the most amazing cod in a mussel cream sauce. Baby carrots and roasted tomatoes rounded out the dish. Just to add to a bit of volume he added a serving of his oiled and rosemary fries. The bar tender brought a glass of paired wine for us, a Sauvignon blanc that was silky and smooth. The dish was amazing - as you might expect from a truly trained chef. But the quick kindness always goes a long way for a visitor. Fabulous food, lovely interior and obviously amazing service. The photo shows how well received the food was on my part! Given the chef was done for the day, consider this: the sauce had subtlety and care. The foam, presentation and dishes had no shortcuts. We got the real dish with attention to detail. This is a chef that cares about the craft. We will be back during regular hours for the tasting menu!

Visited in February 2025. We had the tasting menu (7 dishes / 4 courses) ordered through special. The food was clearly prepared with lots of care, but not so much in line with my taste. The seafood appetizers were the best part of the meal, I liked all 3 of them. The other dishes were okay, but not amazing. My least favourite was the main course, where the pork was a bit too fatty for my taste and I really would have liked more patatas bravas instead of the mashed potatoes served with them. Also, dessert wasn't included in the tasting menu and the portions were rather small. On the plus side, the service was excellent and very friendly. The cocktails were delicious and the place itself was nice and cosy. I particularly liked the tall ceiling and its decor, which helped with the acoustics. Overall, I had mixed feelings - I really liked the place and the staff, but the food didn't convince me, and I doubt I'd be willing to pay full price for it.
