I had high hopes and was surprised to be met by dissapointment and a tourist trap. They charged 10dkk per person per serving of water, and by the point that the water container was half full, they filled it up and added it as another container to our bill, which as mentioned before is charged per person per serving and not per water container. I do not understand how they can do this and still be possible. The food might be the answer here? Their small courses(which are large) are of good quality, however their recommendation of 2-3 small courses plus a shared large course to be full is way excessive in our parties case, unless you have a great appetite you will be fine by 1-2 small courses or only sharing a large course. But i suggest sticking to the small courses as their large course will be served with boil-in-bag-tasting rice and in our case with dry chicken. The chicken has great sauce but the poor rice takes the life out of the course. Maybe the shortcomings of the large course could be balanced by some good drink options, which there are, unless you are driving, underage or you do not drink alcohol. There is only two options for alcohol free drinks, expensive water charged by the entire party or milk tea.
To summarize, great small dishes which are quite large, good alcoholic drink options and if you want to observe a tourist trap technique up close this is the place for you. If you are not consuming alcohol this evening or if you are looking for some nice rice dishes, you might want to avoid...
Read moreI was truly disappointed by my experience at this restaurant.
I was dining with three other people, and we ordered the fried chicken. Unfortunately, my piece — a thigh — was cooked on the outside but had a significant amount of blood near the bone. I didn’t feel comfortable eating it and politely asked if it would be possible to remake just that single piece, not the whole portion.
The chef outright refused, insisting the chicken was “perfect.” The waiter backed the chef without consideration, even though everyone at the table works in hospitality and has over 10 years of industry experience each.
Trying to explain the situation calmly, I gently placed my hand on the waiter’s shoulder — in a friendly, respectful manner, as I would when talking to a colleague. His reaction was to accuse me of being aggressive and told me not to touch him, which left me shocked and honestly a bit humiliated.
There was no confrontation, no raised voice — just a sincere attempt to explain what could have been handled as a very minor kitchen issue. As someone who has worked in hospitality for 15 years, I was stunned by the complete lack of empathy, professionalism, and customer care shown over something as simple as one piece of chicken.
Not because of the food, but because of the service and how poorly the situation was handled, I will not return — and I cannot...
Read moreI'm a Korean-American who grew up in LA and was strongly craving Korean food today. Propaganda brings Korean food to another level of delicious. Not only that, it has the flavors that fill your soul and your the "umma" (mom) love to the cooking.
Very impressed with the LA galbi (impeccably grilled and marinated short ribs) and Ssam Jang noodles. My mom always made me spicy cold noodles with gochujang because I was so obsessed with it. I didn't realize you could make spicy noodles with Ssam Jang (more of a ... fermented bean... miso flavor...I don't cook so not sure I'm entirely right in this description). Essentially the flavor is an umami bomb. This dish knocked my socks off and the galbi is a great compliment to the noodles.
Last but not least, the Kimchi here (tomato and radish) is legit. My god, probably better than any kimchi I had growing up.
Also still trying to understand what Hygge is as a tourist. I think the atmosphere here clearly captured it. I was so comfy and happy with all the good vibes and food.
What a delightful find in Copenhagen. Wish I found it earlier, would have come every night....
