Retro Gusto is in my top 5 of restaurants in Copenhagen. I've eaten there 3 times now, and the high quality is consistent every time. The food is absolutely wonderful and honestly very reasonably priced, but the thing that drives the experience straight to the top for me is the authenticity and decor of this place. They've nailed the retro feeling in name and body both, and you dine in between 70'ies lamps and pictures of old-school, italian design icons. It seems the owner and all the staff are italians, and they take their national legacy 100% seriously here. There's a wine selection very partial to the higher quality southern italian wines here (e.g. Campagna, Puglia, Sicily etc) not usually found in wine cards in Copenhagen. That alone is a selling point, but everything here just adds up so nicely - please go and treat yourself. Read moreAmazing, amazing, AMAZING! Everything in this wonderful restaurant is absolutely perfect! The food was absolutely delicious, a taste of sunshine. We were served enough food to be full, but not too full. They made vegan for us and still the quality was on homemade top. The food had lovely colors and taste. An overall wonderful experience 🔆 The waiters was one big collective smile. We could feel they were relaxed and knew the place. Smiling and laughing they were having fun, which spread throughout the whole resturant ❇️ The restaurant itself was Beautiful (with big B). An inviting atmosphere with lots of playful colors, scents and relaxed voices vibrating in harmony with the collective vibe 🌠
The food and drinking was a little expensive BUT for this top quality, I'll gladly give my money for this honest work 🌠❇️🔆🌸

Had I been a waiter I believe I would compensate unsatisfied customers with anything from a cup of coffee to a free dessert but he just said "Okay" and walked away. Perhaps he was tired of complaints or had a bad day but due to his reaction the entire table decided to skip dessert with coffee and another...
