I’m honestly not sure where to begin because this hotel has both huge pros and huge cons.
After four messages confirming my airport pickup at midnight, no one showed. I followed the directions, waited over an hour, and called the number they gave me three times with no answer. Meanwhile, I had to deal with aggressive drivers and scammers outside the airport before finally arriving at the hotel around 2 a.m. Exhausted and frustrated, I brought it up at the desk, but instead of apologizing, they insisted they had been there and acted like it was somehow my fault—even when I showed them my phone lo and followed exactly the instructions they said.
Now, here’s where it gets complicated. The rooftop and views are stunning. Watching the pyramids at sunset from there is unforgettable. For one or two nights, this hotel is worth it just for that experience. But beyond that, the area outside of the hotel feels unsafe and uncomfortable as a foreigner—constant harassment, animal waste everywhere, and nothing much else to do (but your mainly here for a beautiful night on the rooftop). Plus, it’s far from other major attractions in Cairo, so staying four nights (like I did) was a mistake.
Where things really went downhill was the excursions. I strongly recommend not booking any tours through the hotel. Both pyramid tours I tried were awkward—guides spent more time asking for tips than actually guiding. The Nile cruise was even worse: the hotel booked me for the wrong night, so my evening was completely wasted. When they “rebooked” me, I ended up on a dirty, smoky boat that was nothing like the original 5-star one they promised. The ATV tour was also misleading—there was a literal child sitting on the front of my ATV the entire time because they wouldn’t give him his own, and instead of a professional photography experience, it was a ride through trash-filled alleys with restrictions on using my camera.
To top it off, the hotel owner (who had ignored me up until then) tried to pressure me into leaving a 5-star review, which explains why there are so many glowing reviews online. He ignored me all trip then when I was checking out was trying to get me to sit down and leave a review but I felt so betrayed by the excursions I just walked away from him.
Final Thought: If you just want one or two nights to take in the rooftop view of the pyramids, this hotel delivers. But do not book any excursions through them—use a reputable service instead. And don’t plan on exploring the neighborhood at night. Use that app Indrive I got to the airport for like 3 dollars instead of the 35 usd the hotel wanted to charge me.

Pros: • Rooftop has unbeatable views of the pyramids (especially at sunset) • Memorable for a short 1–2 night stay • Unique experience seeing the pyramids from your hotel
Cons: • Airport pickup never showed despite confirmations • Staff blamed me instead of apologizing • Area around hotel feels unsafe especially at night and unpleasant (harassment, trash, animal waste) • Far from most attractions besides the pyramids • Excursions booked through hotel were scams or badly managed (wrong nights, bad tour guides , misleading experiences) • Pressured to leave a leave a 5 star review (I got out of it, but if you read through the reviews many say he...

I genuinely do not understand all the 5-star reviews this hotel is getting; the only plausible explanation is to believe the reviews where guests say they were forced to write good reviews with the owner standing over them.
This hotel is a total scam. Please don’t fall for this catfish like we did. Yes, there’s a great view of the pyramids… BUT it’s not worth enduring a stay at this awful hotel. The room was tiny, the products were mismatched (i.e. they maybe left travel-sized shampoos/soaps in there that other travelers left behind or something, they had like a dollar-store Mickey Mouse trash can in there, etc.), and overall it just felt unsafe. You cannot use the tub that LOOKS to overlook the pyramids in the misleading photos online because the rooms are located along the restaurant and shared balcony (i.e. if you open your curtains, you will be sharing your bubble bath experience with the rest of the guests and staff). The free breakfast was terrible (though the coffee was actually pretty good) and I honestly felt unsure eating anything that came out of that building anyway.
We left unexpectedly, so we weren’t hassled/hustled to book any tours or leave a 5-star review or anything, but it did feel like this hotel was a gathering place for older gentlemen / friends of the owner that were not guests at the hotel. Nothing bad happened, but they definitely did put off gangster/sketchy vibes like some of the other reviews stated. We originally booked this hotel for three or four nights, but we only lasted ONE before we checked out. We didn’t even bother complaining because (again, as another review said) we felt very unsafe and the sketchy men hung out near reception anyway. When checking out several nights early, the employee at reception didn't even ask why or inquire about our stay; I'm sure they were just happy to have our money for the additional nights we weren't staying.
Please do not book a stay here. It completely ruined our...
Read moreI come from Los Angeles, California, by way of Ethiopia, and upon arrival, I was shown the most hospitable welcome by the owner, Adam. It was a long day, with a lot of walking and negotiating with different people, and it was such a relief to land at a safe and secure hotel. The hotel is clean, classic, and a flair of elegance with marble interior throughout the entire hotel; the check in process was efficient and smooth and everything was laid out for me when I arrived. From the suite, you can sit in the jacuzzi and watch the pyramid light show, and from the bed you can watch the sunrise and sunset — the best view in Giza for the Pyramid Light Show and early morning Pyramid viewing.
Highlights: • Location: Best location in Giza — Hotel is minutes away from the Pyramid entrance, with spectacular roof top views of all of the pyramids, you can see the pyramid light show every night, free, with the best view — I recommend this hotel to everyone who comes to Giza and needs relaxation and peace. • Free pickup shuttle service from the airport, offered 24 hours, and the service is free of charge. • Price for the room is unbeatable, the best price for location and service in Giza. • OWNER - Adam, wow. Probably the best service I’ve been shown since I arrived in Egypt. • Tours - I recommend you book your tour from inside the reception of the hotel: the price is the best, and he offers tours throughout all of Egypt: Luxor, Aswan, Library of Alexandria, The Egyptian Museum, Mohamed Ali Mosque, and all of Cairo, including a Nile cruise. Sunsets with a pyramid on an ATV. • The Best View Hotel will become your home away from home.
Very kind and friendly owner who goes out of his way to serve you and ensure you are provided for in every way.
When I return to Giza, the Best View Hotel will be at the top of my list of hotels to return to, it truly is a memorable experience with an owner that cares about his staff, hotel, guests experience, and service...
