Can’t believe they would hack your account at booking.com and say to themselves they’re a 10. I never write reviews even if it’s good or not because that’s my norm, but if you hack my account for your own sake, I’m gonna give my real opinion back if that’s what you want. I booked for three nights. I arrived at night, so tired and it was my first time at Egypt where everyone keeps on saying “taxi?” trying my best not to get scammed. Not knowing the prices for tours in Egypt, the receptionist suggested to me a $90 1day tour with no lunch, no water, no entry tickets. Just for the vehicle and the tour guide. I know nothing so just took the day tour, no lunch and it was a rip off. I specifically said no lunch to the receptionist, but the tour guide said he’ll pay for my lunch so we ate. Then we get back at the hotel, the owner told me to pay for the lunch. I payed less than $10 for that. And I would have saved more without the tour if I went alone using uber. The people are ridiculous in Giza and Cairo. Even the staff. The room says less for its price. The air conditioning didn’t work at all. I didn’t tell the staff because im so tired to move rooms. I’m a very sweaty person so I couldn’t sleep well for three nights. They didn’t share any wifi information. The bathroom had the toilet in the same place but didn’t have curtains so I needed to continuously care about not making the floor wet. No amendments, only 5 small bottle of shampoo, no soap. The second night, found a small bed bug. The only bug throughout the three nights. The door squeak every single time. The bedsheets have yellow stains and dusty. Towels also had yellow stains. Had to use my own bath towel. They serve breakfast(the only photo I took) but they don’t give you tools to eat it. Ate it with my hand. The staff gives a bad vibe, but you have to ask them to make you breakfast. You’ll eat at the roof top with a nice view of the pyramids but the chairs and tables seem like it’s not changed for how many years. The outside of the hotel was so filthy because of the horses passing by anytime of the day. Sometimes you’ll hear firework noises at night. Buying at the local store is a hassle trying to scam you more than the normal price. The people were looking at me like I’m a treasure box full of gold. The hotel needs to be a hotel if they want to have a 6 from me. Don’t recommend this hotel if you can choose a better one.

The service here is amazing, the staff are very attentive, and can help you book anything you need from tours, airport shuttle. The area around it doesn't have many restaurants so they have a room service so that you can get food. Or there is KFC and Pizza hut a short walk away along with the ATM in front of it. Just be wary as people around the area may try to talk to you and upsell you on things like taxis. The stay here was great, Uber worked well to take us to Cairo for the museum and other things to see in Cairo. Maybe a 60 EGP ride. For the sensitive noses, If you can't take horse and camel smells, this may not be your place as a lot of the stables are located here. But the pyramids welcome you everyday, which is amazing! Oh and can I also gush about the daily included breakfast? It was a choice of either Egyptian or continental breakfast, don't get continental cause you'll want to eat Egyptian everyday! So delicious, I don't think I'll ever find real Egyptian food in California 😀

The view from the rooftop Terrance is stunning!! You get a clear view of the Pyramids, which makes for a great picture. The owner and staff will help in any way possible and try there hardest to make your stay pleasant. If you arrange to get picked up from the airport, make sure to double confirm. Upon my arrival at 11:45 PM, I searched for an hour for the driver and ended up taking a random taxi at 11:45 at night!!This wasn’t the perfect start to my trip. Over my 5 night stay, the room was never cleaned and only shampoo was provided upon my arrival. I didn’t bother asking, I’m sure they would have immediately cleaned it and offered soap and additional shampoos. Overall, I would suggest Makadi Pyramids View. The owner and staff always have a smile on there face, and try to make your stay comfortable.

I wish there was a 2.5 review because the receptionist took a promise from me to give them a "5" on review. I promised, thinking I could give them 5/10.

Nevertheless, let me start with pros:

  1. Amazing views of pyramids from terrace
  2. Decent rooms
  3. Kitchen use at terrace although not clean
  4. Unlimited supply of bottled water

Now, cons:

  1. Receptionist (Mr.Islam) is deceptive and a big liar. On first day, out rightly charged us 3 to 4 times for the dinner meal. He didn't allow us to step out of the hotel and insisted he will buy everything for us. Basically he robbed us of around 300 pounds minimum.
  2. Tour was organized thru them. Despite prior confirmation, the dinner cruise on Day 1 was not booked by them and we had to schedule it for next day.
  3. The tour was saved by Mr.Osama (tour guide), though he didn't explain much, it was sufficient for us. He was friendly and funny. He didn't push us thru the trip.
  4. There was Halloween party and loud noise out of the terrace. It continue until 4AM and we were not offered a different stay despite stating that I had an infant with me. Lot of smoke, drinks and drugs involved int he party.
  5. Alexandria day tour was dreadful since Mr.Islam came with us and pushed us thru for 3 important locations within 1 hour. When we reached the Library at 1.00 PM (opens at 2.00PM on Fridays), he out rightly lied without shame on our face that there was some maintenance work going on inside the library. When we said we need to visit inside, he said the tour was only for 8 hours (though the tour clearly was planned for 12 hours).
  6. Again on the last day, tour was fine with Mr.Osama being brought back due to our insistance. Nevertheless, enough damage was done by Mr.Islam to lose 3 stars from the review.

Was surprised he could put his face thru to request for 5 star review. Not sure how many reviews here are genuine.

The trip to Cairo was saved by Mr.Osama, Mr.Mahmoud (the owner of hotel) and the quiet tour driver with his good car. Otherwise, it would have been...

We booked a 5-night stay at Makadi Pyramids Hotel and, unfortunately, had a mixed experience.||||The Downsides:||Upon arrival, we were given the wrong room. While the staff was generally helpful, service throughout our stay was slow. Breakfast was underwhelming—there was no coffee on the first morning. The room itself was quite dated, especially the bathroom. Curtain rings were rusted, and the bathtub area leaked, leaving the floor wet constantly.||||They promised to pack breakfast for us as we were leaving for a tour early but nothing was packed.||||We ordered dinner to enjoy on the rooftop, but due to slow service and cold weather, we had to eat in the room—where there was no proper dining space. The hotel lacks an elevator, so we had to climb several flights of stairs with our luggage. The second room we were moved to didn’t have hangers or basic toiletries, which was disappointing. The surrounding area was quite noisy and not very clean.||||The Upsides:||The highlight of our stay was the view of the Pyramids from our room and the rooftop—it was truly beautiful. The bed was also comfortable, which made sleeping pleasant.||||Overall, while the view and bed were nice, the hotel needs significant improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and service to meet expectations.||||Most importantly: The Hotel made a fake review using my cousin’s name in booking.com. Please be...
