Grand Pyramid View Hotel — Hotel in Giza

I stayed here for several weeks in October. Sparkling clean and a beautiful view of the pyramids! You can even see the sphinx! The aura was so strong during my entire stay, and it was the most affordable location this close to the pyramids. I spent almost an entire month soaking in the energy while sipping wine on the rooftop beneath the Egyptian moon in the shadow of the pyramids! Words cannot express how amazing it felt! The management is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and there is a native English speaker on the premises. If I needed something during my stay, these people could get it and quickly! They also are very experienced in guiding visitors, and it's essential to have honest help as a foreigner visiting this country. My visit to the local market (Khan el Khalili) would have been insanely expensive and near impossible to navigate without their assistance in communicating, haggling prices, and transportation.

The water was hot and the room was well-maintained. AC and a mini fridge in the room made it even more comfortable, just keep in mind that there are stairs to get to the room. There is a car for hire if necessary, or you can take uber or a tuk-tuk for VERY cheap. There's a small shop on the corner (not even a minute's walk) with drinks and snacks and a pharmacy nearby for any toiletries you may need. It is a new hotel walking distance to the Sphinx and the back entrance to the pyramids. Breakfast is generous and included in the price of the hotel. Bathroom fully equipped with new towels every day, soap, shampoo, toilet paper. Rooms are clean and big enough, with a fridge and air conditioning. Good quality rooms for the price you pay. Nice pyramids view from the rooftop (not from the rooms as stated in booking - from the room you only see buildings) Disliked · - they tried to make me pay an extra police tax saying that it wasn't included in the price of the room, even though I had asked several times (and had the proof on whatsapp) when they said the price on booking.com is the final price I have to pay for the room DON"T BUY ANY TOUR WITH THEM: aside from the fact they are very pushy to sell their tours, their prices are exaggerated and they pay the driver only half of how much you pay (so that's the real value). If you want a specific tour, they say yes to everything, but they send me a driver who didn't know the road. I had to tell the driver where I wanted to go on the GPS, The driver had understood from the hotel something totally different (thx god I double checked with both of them before leaving the hotel) and I had long discussions with him to convince him to take me to all places I had negotiated with the hotel. I came to Egypt with my 64 year old mother and 6 year old daughter. The staff was extremely helpfu throughout.Even though the lift has not been installed yet, our luggage was carried up. We were given an option to choose a room between the third and fourth floors. The room was very spacious, and the sheets were spotless. There was a TV, working Airton, multiple charging sockets and a kettle which was great. The bathroom was clean and spacious. We had room cleaning done every day, which my family liked. I only had to text Mimo, and he would send water, etc, without any follow-up. He even packed breakfast for us because we had to leave at 5.30 am the next morning. The breakfast was simple and delicious, and we loved the Egyptian cheese. The hotel is in a by lane easily accesible by taxi and parking was available. Mimo sent a taxi to pick us up from the airport free of charge ( Since we were staying for 3 nights) . Mimo had called me a few days before and we were in touch on WhatsApp and I had shared my airline ticket and pictures of my family for the driver to recognise us.
