So confused by this place. First, we were a group of 9 people- 4 adults & 5 kids- 5 Germans, 4 Americans. Second, its in a very touristy area, so they should be accustomed to tourists. The service was abysmal- mainly due to the older women with the glasses who appeared to be some sort of service manager. The younger woman and man did ok. In Strasbourg, such an international city, when working in such a touristy place, how can you pretend to only speak French? This was the first problem with the older woman. We tried our French, and asked politely if she understood English or German, and she seemed offended even by our presence. She also repeatedly asked us in a overbearing tone if we were finished, and never seemed to understand anything we asked for. We spent nearly 200 Euros at this establishment to be treated like imbeciles. The only way we got anything whatsoever was by flagging down the younger servers. We were also overcharged for 3 larger beers - which is what we had ordered, but had received small ones. We were a group of friends who had not seen each other in nearly 30 years, and this cafe was the only let down of our day together in Strasbourg. The food was fine- nothing spectacular, but fine. Everything was fine but...
Read moreOk so we literally just walked in this place to have a few drinks and the staff asked for our health pass which is fine no big deal. We showed our CDC cards which have been accepted all over France and all throughout this city as well. So we showed our cards and they kept telling my wife her card was no good because it was 6 months old. The shot is 4 weeks ago her last one and they were like no. Because they did not know how to read the date properly. The guy behind the bar was like no it’s right but the 2 ladies kept saying it is only good for 6 months. We just decided to go somewhere else. All they had to do was be pleasant and talk to us instead of raising there voice and telling us it was 6 months old. Which is was not. Looks like a cute place but will not give it another chance with so many beautiful and wonderful places in the city there is no reason to have to dal with a...
Read moreDo not waist your money in this restaurant! Me, eife and kid were hungry and decided to eat at Cafe Rohan. Did the mistake of not reading the review first... wrong move. Ordered spaghetti bolognese on the Todays Special as well as two glasses of red wine. The waiter spoke good english and was quite nice. We had go wait a bit for the food and almost finished our red wine while waiting.. it was not a good red vine. Eventually the food arrived. It had slmost no taste. We did not have time to complsin sd get new food (as we had waited so long to get the food) that we just poured pepper over it and ate it and left. Overpriced and bad. Paid EUR 50 for 3x spaghetti bolognese, 2x small glasses of red wine and a...
