The front of house service at Sofiko Restaurant had its shortcomings, but the exceptional food offerings and impressive wine selection helped to salvage the dining experience.
There was a discrepancy in availability as we were told the restaurant was fully booked over the phone, only to be called back and offered a table shortly after. During dinner we noticed all 3 floors of the restaurant remained sparsely occupied. This was inconsistency was off-putting.
Then a restaurant employee presented himself at our dining table, it was natural for us to assume he was ready to assist with inquiries or take orders. Appears he is only front of house, he quickly got frustrated as he did not know the menu and he responded in a snappy manner, in what seemed to be and internal dispute. This guy came up 3 floors to prick the waiter, while we were actually quite happy to wait for the waiter of the 3rd floor who we was completing the service of another table.
On a positive note, the waiter of the 3rd floor did not let the treatment of the bully from front of house affect his service and continued the evening with us pleasantly and with a smile. His attentiveness and willingness to assist significantly improved our dining experience.
The culinary offerings at Sofiko Restaurant were a highlight of the evening. The Georgian salad and Ajapsandali were delightful, showcasing the freshness and flavors of the region. The Beef Lakni with ghomi was a standout dish, with the smoky notes of the meat adding depth to the dish. Additionally, the chakapuli was a flavorful and satisfying main course.
The selection of Georgian wines at Sofiko Restaurant was commendable, with the house sparkling wine, Brut Telianu Valley, standing out as a pleasant surprise of the night. The quality and variety of wines added to the overall dining experience.

Read moreI had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. We were seated under a ventilation pipe that dripped water onto our table, which was extremely unpleasant. Despite our request to be moved, the staff claimed all tables were reserved, even though the restaurant was empty and remained so all evening. After initially refusing to move the table, they eventually did. Later, a staff member told us that had they known our order, they would have seated us on the good places on the balcony. This was appalling customer service. The waitstaff was inattentive, ignoring our calls even when they were just a few feet away. Given the high prices and the 18% service charge, this was the worst service I’ve encountered. On a positive note, the cocktails were decent, and the venue itself...
Read moreI took my guest for lunch to Sofiko and we had the most wonderful experience. The service was great, the view is absolutely stunning and the food is great. We had Georgian Salad and Assorted Pkhali for lunch. Both were absolutely delicious and a good portion. It might seem a bit pricey, but taking into account the general prices it does not seem that pricey after all, given the view and location and the portions. We did not try the wine, so I cannot comment on it, but they have a great selection on the menu. My Latte was great. Try to go there in sunny weather, so that you can enjoy the mesmerizing views. The waiter was very helpful and helped us in selecting the dishes and explaining what it consisted of.
Highly recommended for Lunch and...
