6F！Matcha experience cafe 右近屋-UKONYA- — Restaurant in Tokyo

Stopped by here on my birthday for a comforting cup of matcha and dessert. I heard about this little cafe through the even the owner also holds every Saturday night at 6pm outside Asakusa Donqui Hotel. I had lovely personal experience from Ayako who showed me how to make matcha the proper way. The cafe itself is very small but I was lucky to be able to go on the weekend and have a relaxing experience on the tatami mat table while enjoying the iconic view of the Sky Tree. The presentation of the mochi was perfect and tasted incredibly fresh. I will definitely bring friends and family visiting me...

This is a great spot to go get some matcha, especially if you are new to preparing matcha. The folks working there show you how to make it (and help a bit if you’re struggling). The sweet treat that went with the matcha was delicious. Despite what google says, the restaurant is on the 6th floor (accessible from the main street, not the riverside street). The restaurant does look out over the river though. The view is beautiful, and it is a nice place to go relax for a minute. I highly recommend...

Beautiful view with amazing service. The place was a bit tricky to get to because it's on an upper level, but once you find the storefront, the name of the Matcha experience cafe is visual.
