CAFE Stylo — Restaurant in Tokyo

I would say the only saving grace of the cafe was the food. Both me and my friends were traveling to Tokyo just as tourist but they treated us lesser than the locals. This is what I felt when each of us have to ask for water while the waiter did it immediately for the locals sat next to us. We know how effective Japanese service could be but I dont see it here. There’s no bell button which is fine, but the pay at the table scheme also was not what we imagined too. The difference in the service was too striking, it’s just a shame the cafe didn’t take more advantage of the high floor view and ambience and instead made us remember the place as the only cafe we wont...

One staff member was clearing tables and placing the plates, glasses, utensils in the trays (see yellow circle) in a rough fashion. Needless to say it was very very loud and we could not hear ourselves talk. We were seated close by (see green circle). I made 2 indications that we were not pleased by the sound; it was probably not understood.

We moved tables…it was just as noisy.

Food is so-so. A decent place to stop by if you’re tired and can’t be fussed about searching for grub.

Not child friendly…no high chairs for kids. So use your stroller.

It's a very nice and cosy cafe hidden away on the 12th floor of Itoya. If you can get a seat by the large windows, you have a great view of Ginza from here.

Today is rainy outside so the combination of a rainy cityscape, drinks (coffee and a few glasses of wine), food, and light jazz just came together in serendipitous perfection.
