Fantastic Stay. The B&b is quite hard to spot ( it's number 25 & has big bright yellow gates ) but once inside it's delightful. ||The owner Sam is a lovely guy and shows you how everything works and supplies you with fresh clean towels. The doors are all electronically locked with a keycard, so you feel very safe inside.||The Dorm room is on the ground floor at the back of the cafe. It has 6 self contained beds, that have Super fast wi-fi, a good reading light, a socket for charging, rail to hang clothes, individual lockers and a curtain for privacy! The beds are spacious, soft and comfortable. The bedding is clean and fresh and so are the towels ( I was offered clean, fresh towels every day ). The room has air con and a fan! The bedroom and the bathrooms are spotlessly clean and well designed in a modern industrial style.||Bathrooms really clean and spacious with good hot showers and bathroom products provided complementary! ||Every morning free tea and coffee is served in the lovely cafe at the front of the building. ||The B&b is in a excellent location 1 minute from the main walking street and shops, bars and restaurants - It's quiet enough at night to get a good nights sleep! ||Without doubt one of the best designed B&b's in this style ( individual curtained off bed ) I have stayed in. Fantastic value. Very safe and secure, excellent location, super comfortable beds that are clean and fresh, fast reliable wi-fi. ||Was a delight to stay here, could not recommend highly enough, I will definitely stay here again on future visits to...

Ola Cafe and hostel are run by 2 friendly and caring locals, Sam and Elaine. The rooms and common spaces are bright, very clean, super comfortable and tastefully decorated.

This place is located just one street away from the main Jonker Street, and one could easily explore Melaka Old Town on foot or on bike for local attractions (Stadthuys, St. Pauls Hill, A Famosa, Jonker Street, Melaka River etc) and amazing local food (Chicken rice, Nyonya cuisine, cafes) and much more (Peranakan museum, shopping).

I stayed in a single bedroom and it was exactly what I needed and more - a clean space, sheets and towel, fluffy blanky, both air-conditioning and fan, reading light. Rooms are also secured with key cards, very safe and convenient!

The common areas like bathrooms were spotless and odourless. A little pantry area with a mini bar for drinks, water boiler and water filter were all available for use. There's also a light well surrounded by plants as a nice chilling area or reading nook.

Cafe offers a variety of drinks and breakfast at promotion prices for all staying guests.

Curbside public parking is available all over old town, free on Mon, Tues and weekends. Space is pet-friendly too!

At their price point, this accommodation is definitely one of the best I've stayed in, for all the effort to keep the space so comfortable and inviting. Not to mention the fantastic location, being right smack in Jonker Street! Would love to...

Visited the cafe only back in Feb. I came in here for a light breakfast before doing the rounds of the attractions in Malacca. The cafe has a mixture of indoor and outdoor seating, but it was so hot (for me) that I just went inside where it was air conditioned. Inside, there’s a mixture of funky rustic look and bench style chairs. The decor is spoit by some cheap looking tables and chairs though. The sandwich came nicely presented in a dim sum steam basket. The bread was lightly toasted, nice and firm. The egg was nice and fluffy, the cheese was light, and accompanied with some fresh lettuce and tomato. The sandwich tasted fantastic. The coffee was really disappointing. I got a latte and half the cup was steamed milk. But that wasn’t the worst. The coffee tasted really acidic and could feel it burning my throat as I drank it down. Overall, I was so looking forward to this cafe because of all the high ratings, but in the end, I was really disappointed with the coffee.
