We stopped by this place to eat attracted by the fancy and well decorated location and the food displayed through the glass window, but highly disappointed for the food we got for the price spent. The food served in a small box with wood cutlery was not worth. We ordered a naked pork roast plate and waited with great expectation as the lady at the front desk offered new fresh and hot food as the previous one ran out. The big tray with new and hot piece of pork arrived at the shelf and we were excited to take a piece of it as our portion. Then, a young guy brought our order (a small paper box with the ordered food) and my wife took the first piece of pork. I saw inside the box and asked myself where the food is. The small box was full of gravy, potatoes, carrot pieces and green beans, and 3 little size pieces of pork. What a such deception. You paid almost 10 £ for the plate and just receive carrots, potatoes, green beans a lot of gravy and less than 15 % of roast pork on the small box. Finally, as we finished, we got up and took a look at the glass window to see the tray with the new piece of pork that had arrived earlier and that it was offered to us but we saw it was still not cut so we assumed they served us our food from another source not from the pork shown on the tray through the glass window. If a business wants faithfulness from customers so, they should be tried fairly. Never stop by this place again. Visiting Chester town centre was a wonderful experience and for sure we will go there again but not The...
Read moreDon’t. Simply don’t. Go anywhere but here. The decor is absolutely dire. The tables are way below even roadside cafe standard. And the food is seriously expensive for what you actually get. Slapped in a cardboard box, with balsa wood “cutlery” that won’t cut through anything and roast potatoes that are simply inedible - hard, burnt and way, way overcooked. They won’t/don’t even provide tap water - which I believe all restaurants are obliged to do - so you are eating a stodgy mostly inedible meal with nothing to wash it down. The beef was fairly decent and the Yorkshire pudding was at least edible, but I have nothing good to say about anything else. My wife left most of her lunch - simply couldn’t cut through the dry turkey, couldn’t eat the dry and overcooked roast potatoes and thought the veg offered were just awful. We made a BIG, BIG mistake eating here - our fault given a past experience with exactly the same franchise in York - and we can only urge you not to even try it. It is no way worth either your time or money. It totally spoilt our day and there is no way we would...
