We stopped by this place to eat attracted by the fancy and well decorated location and the food displayed through the glass window, but highly disappointed for the food we got for the price spent. The food served in a small box with wood cutlery was not worth. We ordered a naked pork roast plate and waited with great expectation as the lady at the front desk offered new fresh and hot food as the previous one ran out. The big tray with new and hot piece of pork arrived at the shelf and we were excited to take a piece of it as our portion. Then, a young guy brought our order (a small paper box with the ordered food) and my wife took the first piece of pork. I saw inside the box and asked myself where the food is. The small box was full of gravy, potatoes, carrot pieces and green beans, and 3 little size pieces of pork. What a such deception. You paid almost 10 £ for the plate and just receive carrots, potatoes, green beans a lot of gravy and less than 15 % of roast pork on the small box. Finally, as we finished, we got up and took a look at the glass window to see the tray with the new piece of pork that had arrived earlier and that it was offered to us but we saw it was still not cut so we assumed they served us our food from another source not from the pork shown on the tray through the glass window. If a business wants faithfulness from customers so, they should be tried fairly. Never stop by this place again. Visiting Chester town centre was a wonderful experience and for sure we will go there again but not The...

Don’t. Simply don’t. Go anywhere but here. The decor is absolutely dire. The tables are way below even roadside cafe standard. And the food is seriously expensive for what you actually get. Slapped in a cardboard box, with balsa wood “cutlery” that won’t cut through anything and roast potatoes that are simply inedible - hard, burnt and way, way overcooked. They won’t/don’t even provide tap water - which I believe all restaurants are obliged to do - so you are eating a stodgy mostly inedible meal with nothing to wash it down. The beef was fairly decent and the Yorkshire pudding was at least edible, but I have nothing good to say about anything else. My wife left most of her lunch - simply couldn’t cut through the dry turkey, couldn’t eat the dry and overcooked roast potatoes and thought the veg offered were just awful. We made a BIG, BIG mistake eating here - our fault given a past experience with exactly the same franchise in York - and we can only urge you not to even try it. It is no way worth either your time or money. It totally spoilt our day and there is no way we would...

I've been going to this family business for many years and always loved the pork baps with all the toppings ,it definitely was my go to place for something to eat when working locally, but sadly lately when going with my wife and daughter, I had the same like I usually do the pork bap but it's no where rear as good the portion was smaller ,chewie meat and stail bap and when I asked for the pork scratchings they said I had to pay extra ,my wife and daughter asked for beef baps ,anrecommended this shop and they could not chew the beef it was to chewie ,I asked my wife to have a bite as the food here used to be so good and I couldn't chew the meat I was shocked and we left the restaurant and eventuality put most of the food in the bin as it was Impossible to chew ,we will sadly never go there again ,and sadly because I used to enjoy going there for my pork bap with all the trimings ,but obviously the manager or owner or staff or all of the above have gone ,hopefully they will get better to how they used to be ,until then I...

If it is your first time trying Yorkshire pudding, please don't let this place put you off. I got seated straightaway, but some of the meat choices I wanted unfortunately were not available. The fridge did not seem to be turned on, and both drinks I took were actually above room temperature. Now the food (wood cutlery) Beef was dry, Turkey meh, Ham quite good. Potatoes bland and dry, vegetables ok if covered in gravy, stuffing had no flavour and was dried out and hard. The worst thing by far was the Yorkshire pudding, and it's the first time I have ever left it uneaten. One staff member had her break and sat near to me having a loud conversation on her phone before eating her food while her colleague at the till looked to be sneakily using his mobile. Worst £20 I have ever spent.

We saw the food in the window and were tempted to give it a try... big mistake! There was nobody eating inside, so that should have been a warning to move on. We politely asked if they had a table for 2, and the staff pointed to the table and chairs. We sat patiently at a table, and nobody came to serve us. We then realised we had to order as we came in, the two young members of staff were just chatting and didn't think to tell us! When the food arrived, it was in a cardboard box with wooden knives and forks... it looked like it had been thrown in the box! It was tasteless and very bad. You couldn't cut the food up properly in the box. A big letdown. Would never eat here again. It wasn't cheap either. It's probably the worst meal we have ever had.

I visited last weekend around lunch time and tried out the yorky pud wraps and I wasn’t disappointed. I had the pork and apple sauce wrap and doubled up on the meat. The wrap was hot, full of flavour and tasted really good. My partner went for the doubled up beef and chose mint sauce. He really enjoyed his wrap too. We enjoyed with a side of roast potatoes, gravy, stuffing balls and a pot of crackling bites. Everything tasted really good and we left feeling super full. The yorky pud wraps are reasonably priced. Staff friendly and service quick! The restaurant was clean. There is plenty of seating inside and out. I’m looking forward to returning again for sure :)
