Cracker Barrel Old Country Store — Restaurant in Anderson

Ate at the Cracker Barrel in Anderson Indiana on 3/1/25. Was seated promptly but waited 45 minutes for our meals in a party of 8. Some of our food was cold when it came out but waitress quickly fixed that. We were just finishing our meal when the manager can’t our table, water to know if we were done eating, received our checks because he needed us to get up so he could clear the table we were sitting at for another party. My cousin was still finishing here meal and we were enjoying each others company a we had dined together for several weeks and had driven over 25 minutes to eat there. I’ve never been told to get up and go pay for my meal because they needed those tables! Plus they did have tables in other areas they could have put together to seat this other party he just didn’t want to exert that effort! Sorry folks but we’ve been dining at this Cracker Barrel for 35 years and now I don’t want to go back! I alerted corporate as to our treatment and received an apologetic email and that would receive a digital coupling for compensation. We spent $45 that night and I got my coupon for 1 entree! Pretty cheap if you ask me and no where near the $45 I spent that night. Can’t say I feel like Cracker Barrel is all that sorry since they were so cheap! Eat somewhere else folks when in...

My mother and I went today to eat there, My food came cold when I asked for them to make it hot. They looked confused and did not know what to do. On top of this, the service was atrocious. There was a person who was less fortunate and disabled, and they announced it amongst themselves loudly enough for us to hear . They spoke to her horribly, made fun of her, ostracized her, and when I made mention of it to the retail manager, she said because a customer was now going to pay her bill they were going to ban her from the store Well, I understand this is a business, you do not treat people that way. You do not know their circumstance and you do not know how discretion is the best way to handle something like this. They did not contact the police, The woman, using a walker was barely able to walk, and it was Said,”. They do this all the time you have no idea what we have to deal with.” It became frustrating to the point that the entire lunch with my mother and I were watching them and listening to them speak strongly about this customer. I love the store part of Cracker Barrel but the restaurant needs improvement. Even the store part needs to be bigger for the crowds they have. The floor needs sweeping more often and tables cleared quicker. We had chicken dumpling that was part caked dough I didn't eat that part. The turkey and gravy had maybe a tablespoon, 2 at most of gravy and the meat was a bit tough. We never got Our cranberry relish and still paid full price. Our server was rude and didn't listen. We paid $2.79 for our coke and it had too much ice. When we ask for a refill she only brought one for hubby and rushed off. So she brought 2 for us too take with us and two boxes for us too go. At that time hubby had already went to pay and I had too clean up the overflowed cups of pop and figure out how too carry everything, a bag would have been nice. She said I'm sorry I didn't do whatever . I said it's fine. She was just unfriendly, rushing us and not paying attention . Not good qualities for a waitress! So we had already decided the one in Gas City is off our list and now we will not be back to Anderson's Cracker Barrel! Apparently they don't care about...
