Fox's Den is literally a hole in the wall. Had I not Google mapped images of the place I'd have never found it. It's one door that sends you down a flight of stairs to a basement bar and eatery. The set up, however, is quite cozy. They have so many choices of bourbon that you may even want to peruse their online menu and the prices for all of it, including a Bud Light (my drink of choice) is the same as buying a 6-pack of BL at the liquor store. Their pricing of drinks is the only reason I've down-voted them from 5 ☆s. They have an array of appetizers, small plates, meals and pizzas, all to please many tastes. For those of us whom are picky, on top of having several food allergies, I was unable to find a single menu item that was palatable for me. This is not their fault, though. Some places aren't for everyone and I didn't come here to eat, furthermore. There are a few TVs at the bar that were following March Madness that gave the bar crowd something to talk about with the bartenders. Within the bar area, there were several high tables with raised chairs so that folks could experience the bar feel without facing the TVs. This bar seemed to cater to a bit more upscale clientele for folks in the mid-late 20s and up. Overall, a good mix of men and women so not a sausage fest. One other caveat assisting in stealing a 5-☆ rating is the parking situation as it often is when you have a ton of places crammed in a mile radius. In the evening, you're lucky to get a spot (as I was) where a car is literally pulling out next to you on that main street, otherwise that street is constantly filled with cars waiting to snag a spot. You're best finding a parking spot farther away or a parking garage even further away and making a hike. Lastly, the ambience is festive. Restrooms and entire restaurant was quite clean and cozy. There was a stellar bluegrass trio playing the night I attended and they were the icing on the cake. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone I did or did not know with the aforementioned caveats. 😊

I've been here several times since it's opened. It's a basement bar, so no natural light. Hard to identify from the street if you've never been here. Good drink menu - they have some great beers rotating on tap and they also have some interesting cocktails (old school w/ a twist). The pizzas we've tried have always tasted great. Other menu items are also flavorful. The same 2 bartenders are always there when we visit. Though very friendly, it takes a while for them to notice we are running low on our drinks - obviously they are very busy and maybe because it's hard to see in dim lighting. It also gets busy very quickly and it's very loud in there. Overall, I'd recommend this bar! But it's not one that is on the top of the list as a local.

This was my time at Fox's Den and I'm looking forward to going back already! This is a cool little basement bar. Had a really good old fashioned! Shared some duck fat fries, which were fantastic, and a pizza with my wife. I also noticed they had decent music playing too. I had an awesome time👍🏾 September 2022 UPDATE: After visiting Fox's Den with a veteran of the place, I have a renewed respect for this place. My buddy was familiar with the bar staff and ordered items off menu🤣 I had never gotten the Sausage Party pizza, mainly because I've only been here with my wife, but I'm glad I did... especially with the spicy honey sauce. Ridiculous!👍🏾

We had been wanting to visit the Fox's Den for sometime. Finally went last night. Parked in the new Hillman Garage (City did a great job) and walked into downtown Annapolis onto main Street. Fox's Den was just up the street and we walked through the narrow doorway down the steps into a really great gastropub. We have enjoyed pizza all over Annapolis and surrounding communities over the years. Fox's Den pizza is made the way we experienced making and eating pizza in Italy. They use the right dough and the brick oven is fired with oak logs. Fox's Den is our new go-to pizza place and pub.
