My friends and I recently visited this restaurant. We were impressed by how nice it looked. Unfortunately, our entire experience was ruined by the server/greeter who we asked for a seat. We asked him if we can could get a table for four. He said without looking at us in an incredibly disdainful way 'sit where ever you like'. It was very hot inside so I casually asked him is there AC that could be turned on, and he said 'we don't have AC working, if you don't like it you can go somewhere else'. I have never seen someone hosting a restaurant behaving like this. My wife was furious at his behavior but we decided not to get into an argument and simply left. There were many other restaurants in the same area and we had a great time elsewhere. This young man looked in his thirties maybe. I really hope the owner of the restaurant can take corrective actions because such behavior is quite unacceptable and...

Food is great. Good variety of sushi with different seafood and some interesting vegetarian options. I haven't had any other dishes besides the edamame and udon (both simple yet delicious) but they do specialize more in sushi.

Service is great. It can be slow when the restaurant is busy but they give plenty of time to look over the menu and they provide a list of their sushi and a pencil so you can just mark how many rolls of each you want. Makes service much quicker, just know the pencils don't come with erasers (but you can scratch out any mistakes).

Atmosphere is lovely. Nice decorations and a cozy vibe. It can get a bit loud when the restaurant is busy but I find it pretty easy to tune out.

Overall, the sushi is good quality and decently priced ($5-7 for smaller rolls, around $15 for larger ones). The food and service are consistent and I would highly recommend...

AVOID.

My friends and I walked into a pretty empty restaurant this past Sunday around 4:30. It looked like a nice place to eat inside.

Issue #1- When we walked in, the server turned his back and said very rudely "sit wherever you want." Issue #2- As we walked inside we noticed it was very hot in the restaurant and that the AC wasn't on. I think we said "it's very hot in here, is the AC on?" Issue #3- The same server, with his back turned to us yet again walked by us and said "you can go somewhere else if you want to" in an extremely rude and flippant manner.

We walked right out.

We don't know if the food was good but we can say confidently the server needs some training on how to talk to and treat customers ASAP. Absolutely unacceptable behavior. Not how you work in customer service. You will definitely lose more customers if this server continues to...

TLDR: good sushi, wouldn't recommend the shiitake roll, great service, yummy fried rice! It was my first time at Nano and it was really good! We choose to come here because of outdoor seating at 5pm and lower prices. We found a seat right away on a Saturday, and the waiter was so kind to bring a water bowl out. We ordered vegetable fried rice, miso soup (vegan), the vegetarian roll combo, and two yam rolls. The yam rolls were 8 pieces each and the vegetarian roll combo came with two inari, six mushroom rolls, and 8 cucumber avocado. Everything was delicious except the shiitake rolls were ok -- seaweed on the outside, then rice, then the mushrooms, which were served cold. Definitely coming back though for the cucumber avocado and yam rolls!

I had chicken curry. It was more like a corn starch-thickened broth with some heat and vegetables. The veggies (onion, red pepper and mushrooms) were cut very large and undercooked. There was a hint of curry spice but not a “yellow curry.” I ate half before I gave up. To his credit, the waiter asked how it was. The first time I told him it was ok. After I only ate half, he asked if I’d like a box and that’s when I told him the curry had no flavor - only heat and that I didn’t want to take it. He gave me a discount. Maybe they have something better, but don’t order the curry.
