Horrible service!!! Worst experience in Bellevue ever! We came in for my birthday breakfast and forgot our masks in the car. I didn’t want to go back to the car. Immediately when we walked in the server asked to put the mask on. I told her we don’t have any and if she can give me one I will wear it. She said they charge a dollar for each, which I think is ridiculously expensive but oh well whatever. Then she asked with a sarcasm “are you from King Country?” (Implying we should know better!!! I answered yes, she said “Hm, interesting “. That was very rude! We were sitting at our table for 25 min waiting to get an order! Same server came to take our order, so I got the feeling she was punishing us for walking in without a mask. She took our order and added that if we need to walk around the restaurant we need to put a mask back on! Ok, but not OK! We waited another half an hour for coffee and food. My espresso was barely room temperature, my husband’s latte was a little warmer. I had salmon and avocado egg Benedict, which was very good. My hubby had mister Croquet and it was ok. We also had some pastries to go. At the end of our dining the server stated AGAIN the when we leave we need to put masks on 🙄 So total 3 times!!! Really??? I just simply forgot one in the car, i did not reduce to wear it at the restaurant, I did not argue or made a scene. And this is how I’m being treated? This is unacceptable! I do not recommend this place and I would not go back. And yeah happy...
Read moreMy wife and I's visit to Cepae was a terrific experience! We decided to sit at the bar during happy hour. My wife tried a flight of 3 different white wines and I decided to try a flight of 3 different red wines plus adding in their happy hour wine on their menu.
You can pretty much try any wine they have available for a very affordable price, especially being in Downtown Bellevue! Most of the wines you're able to "taste" for between $2.00 and $3.00 from what I could remember. Their happy hour menu was quite tasty as well as we chose to get a little tasting place of cheeses, meats, and other hors d'oeuvres...bread with butter was yummy too!
The service is top notch, their sommelier, who served us was very knowledgeable and made our experience even better.
On a nice day, you're able to sit outside. They even serve coffee from Victrola Coffee Roasters, sell French pastries and other products, and you can purchase unique wines that you're unable to find in most of the big box retailers since they have a direct relationship with the manufacturers.
We will definitely go back to Cepae and try some other wines. This place trumps the other wine spots...

The service was nothing short of impeccable—attentive, knowledgeable, and warm, without ever feeling intrusive. We started with warm, freshly baked sourdough served alongside rich, velvety French butter—simple, but executed with such care it set the tone for the rest of the meal. The pastries were intricate and stunning, with layers of texture and flavor that spoke to the craftsmanship behind the scenes. Every bite felt like a work of art.
