First the positive: fantastic view from this roof top bar & grill. Live entertainment was very good.
Negatives: our server was absent and absent minded. Let me preface that it was not that crowded and there appeared to be plenty of staff. However, it took our server 15-20 minutes to come to our table initially. When she did come, she took our drink and appetizer orders. From there it was about 10 minutes to get our alcohol, the lemonade for the child was not delivered because the server grabbed another table’s soda instead of our lemonade. She said she’d be ‘right back’.Then another 30 minutes after that we got our appetizers (soft pretzel and shrimp) but still no lemonade. Had to go up to the bar to ask for the lemonade because the server had not been back to our table once. Then another 10 minutes to get the kids drink. At that point she took our dinner order. (One wrap, one chicken sandwich, one chicken bowl and a kids chicken tenders). About 35-40 minutes before the server came to check on us and take a drink refill order. Another 10-15 minutes after that to get the food. Of the four meals, only the kid’s meal was correct and tasted good. The chicken sandwich had the wrong sauce, the chicken bowl was missing the sauce and the wrap was soggy/mushy and not edible.
The only time our sever was quick or attentive was when she brought our check. We planned to spend an hour to 90 minutes here but instead were here over 2.5 hours, wasted all the time we wanted to spend walking through the shops on this road.
Edited to add details for the owner: this occurred on 2/25/24, we arrived around 5:15/5:30, left around 8. Female server, don’t know if she ever...
Read moreThe only positive we have is the wonderful view of the city and beaches, otherwise our experience was horrible, yes horrible. We were at the roof top bar on Monday for happy hour. The bar was not busy, there was probably 5 tables with 4 patrons and a couple at the bar, so a total of under 30 people for sure. There was a bartender, waitress and a man to deliver food from the kitchen. The waitress had one section and it appears the bar tender had the other section of the bar, which is not unusual. We had to order at the bar, no table service. Being on a roof top drinks and plates are paper/plastic which makes sense. Once people paid and left their table no one cleaned it up and trash would blow off the table onto the floor. We watched the waitress walk by trash on the floor , look at at it and step around it and never pick it up. I picked up trash around our table. Our table had not been cleaned prior to our sitting at it, I had to clean off spilled rice and crumbs. We had two draft beers (there were several draft beers unavailable) and then two happy hour margaritas, well liquor which is expected. When we went to pay we were charged over 33 dollars which means we were charged for full price drinks not happy hour well drinks!. We did not receive an itemized receipt, which is highly unusual, and we had to ask the bartender for clarification. He blamed the computer and gave us another bill nine dollars cheaper but no itemized slip. Seriously??? The computer miscalculated, I doubt it. Service was awful and we were overcharged for our order, how many other people did this happen to??? Check you bill...
Read moreWho is this Jimmy because he’s got quite a few dining options in Clearwater Beach? They all have the same bar-vibe, food menu and dining experience – mostly rooftops with a great view. I’ve been to Jimmy’s Crows Nest and now Jimmy’s on the Edge, and both experiences were identical. This Jimmy’s is located on the rooftop of The Edge Hotel which is south of the Pier. We walked from the Hilton – just about 15 minutes om the main road along the beach. We had no issues finding the restaurant. You just take the elevator off the parking garage up to the top floor. There are signs that direct you. The restaurant was not busy at all during our meal, but the service was quite slow. The menu options have changed a bit then what is pictured on their website – no more onion rings. We started with the Iguana Pretzel. It was okay, but nothing special. I think it can be shared easily among four people. On top of the slower service during a generally slow night, my salad order came our wrong, the frozen drink machine was broken, and our waitress just really didn’t seem to care about our experience. We left before the sun even set because we just didn’t care to spend more time being ignored. I imagine for those just looking for a drink and a view, this is an excellent option. I wouldn’t call it kid or family friendly though I did see a small family while we were there. As I said, I wasn’t impressed. Maybe try a...
