I want to preface this by saying I rarely leave bad reviews, but I honestly will NEVER go here again and advise against other people going as well. Beware: if you buy tickets in advance and THEY cancel the show it's a freaking NIGHTMARE trying to get your money back. I worked for 2 months to get a refund, finally, the show was rescheduled and I asked if they would just honor the tickets at the new show- since getting a refund was going nowhere- they said yes on Facebook Messenger. I get there and they denied me access even though I had the proof of the conversation, messages saying the exact date/time/show they agreed to honor tickets for, and the proof of the previously purchased tickets. I emailed yet again and receive some generic email back that I'll finally get a refund 4 months after I had purchase tickets- couldn't even add my name into the email. Seems like they don't really care about their customers at all, are very unorganized, and lack communication between the staff. I will never go here or recommend it to anyone.
EDIT to add (after they responded 7 months later): My ticket was never even scanned, so it's rude to say "it was a bad ticket". I have all the legit emails and ticket confirmation. I talked to the lady who seats people, the bartender who apparently was in charge that night and he called the owner and basically said the show was sold out so my ticket wouldn't be honored, despite being told it would be as the screen shots show. If this show was rescheduled 3 times, as a business, you should reach out to the people who purchased tickets before opening up new sales to people. It's not fair that I purchased tickets months in advance but my friends who purchased tickets the day of got seated and I was told no. Not only did I waste money parking, but it was also embarrassing to have to...
Read moreWe arrived as group of 10, for my bachelorette party (gift). We were having a great time, all dolled up with the wedding veils and and banners, balloons and the require bachelorette chachkies. My girlfriend had organized the event with the owner prior to our arrival and had early access to decorate the table, etc.. The owner came over after we were seated and proceeded to give us a lecture on how to behave and asked that we please be respectful of the comics...... We are a group of 50 year old women who have been to one or more live shows in our lives and would never disrespect a live act, come on! We had been to dinner prior and had one first cocktail in their lobby. Needless to say, the lecture ruined the show, I was afraid to laugh. I realize trying to hire and keep a staff at this time is extremely difficult, we didn't receive cocktails even water (requested) until after the third act. There is a 2 drink minimum and we could barely get the second drink down before the lights came up and we were being hustled out. My table was fine, but you could hear tables and chairs being moved around the entire show. The drinks were very overpriced (white warm wine) and the pour was REDICULOUSLY low, like a wine tasting sample, far from a 5oz pour (everyone ordered 2 glasses the second round and combined them to make one wine glass)! Unfortunately the owner and service overshadowed the comedy talent, it was very difficult to loosen up and...
Read moreDecided to come out to 3E's on a Saturday night as a date with my wife, and saw Steve Gillespie's early show. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and the comedians, and I really liked the clean, modern feel to the place. Ticket prices were very reasonable, and the service was very good. The crowd was a lot lighter than I would've liked, but that made for some fun interaction opportunities between the audience and the comedians.
My one major issue (and the only thing that will make me think twice about coming back) is the two items ordered per person requirement. Our four items plus tip ended up costing almost twice as much as the tickets, which makes a night at 3E's a much more expensive proposition. I think a "one item per person" or "three items per group" requirement would be more appropriate, especially for patrons that don't drink or ate before the show. The comedians were also a little hard to hear with the speakers being positioned at the back of the theater.
I have a good feeling we'll be returning to 3E's (a lot more fun than a night at the movies, that's for sure), but I hope they change the minimum order requirement and advertise themselves a bit more to bring the crowds out. Or maybe I just need to try the late...
