O'Charley's Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Forest Hills

TL;DR This place needs to be shut down.Rancid food & disgusting atmosphere.More concerned about doordash orders than dine in.I haven't been here in 2 years & I cannot believe how far it's fallen.We are a large group[12]so we are used to waiting.We arrive at 7pm on 8/27/21 &told it would be a 20-25 minute wait,they only have 3 servers on a busy Friday night.Everywhere is understaffed right now,nbd.We were not sat for about 40 mins.Lobby is full of doordash people picking up orders.We are seated on the left side of the restaurant where they have pushed a few tables together to make a long one meaning they had to move all the chairs in that area,so I know they felt how sticky the back of those chairs were.Like they've never been cleaned before.Gross but nbd.2 members of our party stood up from their chairs &busted their heads on the low hanging lights.I feel like another area would have been better for our party especially since the inside seating was so open.Still nbd.We are given 2 baskets of rolls,which is 8 rolls for 12 people.Not enough butter.Waiter quickly remedies with loads of butter &many more rolls,some of which were undercooked.Waiter comes to take drink orders.Sister orders a strawberry lemonade because they made the best ones.When they finally come out,her drink did not come in a glass glass,but a plastic cup they use for soft drink &there are no fresh strawberries in it.Optimistic,she takes a sip.Yuck!I tried it& it tasted like a weak strawberry water.She tells the waiter &he says they changed the lemonade.Took 20 minutes to get refills.Bartender brought me another margarita that I did not order.She said she had already made it so I should take it &they would not charge us for it.Waiter confirms &assures it would be taken off the bill.We order appetizers.They are out of fried pickles.Spicy jack cheese wedges are still as delicious as I remember.Potato skins have too much potato scooped out,but tasty.Chips were stale,but queso was yummy.Spinach artichoke dip was mediocre.My sister& I split the Louisiana sirloin because that garlic butter they put on top was so good!She got potato soup& I a house salad,no tomatoes.Took 20 mins to get those.My salad had tomatoes on it.I picked them off,nbd.Soup was good.Entrees arrive.Our steak barely has any of the garlic butter on it.Beautiful medium rare,but omg I have never tasted something so disgusting.Like it wasn't stored properly or something because it was rancid.Inedible.Fiancé's steak was the same.Brother's steak,ordered medium came well done,also had the funky taste.Sister ran to the bathroom to puke.Niece [16] never even received her entree(chicken tenders).Nephew [8] ordered a plain burger& it came with all the fixings,so that had to be redone.It's after 9 o'clock, we're tired &don't say anything about the steaks.He says the tenders are probably ready in the back& he could still bring them out &take them off the bill,but who wants an entree that's been sitting under the heat lamps for who knows how long?The bill still had all the "comped" items on it,but that was an easy fix.Good thing we checked,though.I was warned the bathroom was disgusting.Sister said it was flooded.The floor was covered in toilet water& wet toilet paper.All of which had not even been attempted to be cleaned up.Instead of mopping they put out a wet floor sign.I slipped and almost fell in the nasty.Leaving the bathroom,I track that toilet water through the restaurant 🤢 We spent hundreds of dollars here and will never return. I feel bad for all those people that paid to have door dash bring them inedible garbage. Slow service is one thing, but health code violations are another...

First off, let us begin by saying that we are big fans of O'Charleys in general. THIS location...not so much. It's impossible to find a place to begin describing how horrible this visit was. Literally nothing went well. Service...sucked. Wait time... sucked. Food...improperly cooked, cold AND...sucked. We should have taken a hint when someone was taken from the restaurant on a stretcher while we were ordering. Poor fella. Our waitress was completely clueless. Brought apps and salads without silverware then brought us plastic ware when we asked for eating uninstalls. Apparently, she forgot to bring our food when it was cooked because it was ice cold. And only refilled our drinks once we were finished with the culinary abortion of a meal and was waiting for a check. I suppose that actually worked for the best seeing as to how we waited 17 freaking minutes for the check. I won't bother to rant about the fact that her dirty hands left grime on the glasses since we didn't drink it anyhow. Nor will I bother to complain about her armpit in my face when she so casually reached across me to remove our refills because she brought them to the wrong table. Then repeated it when she put them back down, realizing that it was the correct table after all. But I could forgive all of that. ALL of it. If the meal didn't absolutely suck.The soup was cold (although it didn't matter..the no silverware thing), had pretty much no cheese or bacon and, here comes that word again...sucked. My wife's Med Well steak was cooked to temp but was ice cold. My Med steak? Forget about it. That hunk of cow flesh is still smoldering. Wrong toppings on both baked potatoes and, dare I mention it, was cold. And sucked. Not only will I not give them any stars, I wish there was a way to take some back. O'Charleys? O'No. This review wouldn't post unless we gave it at least 1 star. Once...

This restaurant has gone down hill significantly. We ate at the So. Hurstbourne location today and it was terrible. We had a party of 7 and our server was anything but happy to serve us. She came to take our order, 15 minutes later, our bread and appetizer arrived, and we still had no drinks. Our daughters salad came with the drinks about 3 minutes before her another server brought out our food. One of the kids ordered ranch with his meal and asked me for it. I told him that as soon as the server finished serving the food, I’d ask her for it. She must have heard me, because she said “what? What did you say?” I said “we’re going to need some ranch when you have a minute.” She never responded, but not realizing that I could see and hear her when she returned to the tray, Roll her eyes, throw her hands in the air, and say “oh my God.” The food was lacking at best. My steak was cooked well over the medium rare i requested, my sisters chicken was wrong, and we never got ketchup that we asked for when our food was served. The next time we saw her was when she brought the checks, at the same time the manager came to see how our meal was. I said “it was ok” intending to catch him on the way out. We never saw him again, so I called the store on my way home. Irony at its best was that our server answered the phone and informed me that the manager was busy and couldn’t take our call. What a fiasco. The lack of service, the sub par food that was cooked incorrectly, and the put out attitude of our server (on top of the bathrooms that smelled like sewer gas) pretty much ensured that this is the last time we will visit the establishment. The next time i spend $62 for my 3 Family members of our Party of 7 to eat I will head on down Hurstbourne to another...
