Save yourself the time and money and have GUSTOS burgers instead. Literally, go to GUSTOS, park in their customer parking lot and go order yourself “The GUSTOS” burger that is made pretty much identically at half the price. WITH 3 patties, an order of tots and a drink all in one transaction. It’s made at a much better, and more delicious quality too. — NADC didn't make a bad burger, but it wasn't the best either. You, as a customer; are most likely anticipating an amazing food experience since this idea of a restaurant was invented with the idea of upscaling the idea of a casual burger. But unfortunately, it will be a disappointment. Finding parking is difficult, as it is located down town. You should expect to park in a parking garage or a few blocks away and walk to the restaurant. The restaurant does have weird seating; so be ready to sit next to strangers. Their tables are long and are expected to seat 10 people side by side. The ordering process is confusing. You walk in and are either luckily greeted by a friendly staff member or you're greeted by the bartender; who is unfamiliar with hospitality and doesn’t explain the process of ordering food until after she’s asked you if you're getting a drink from her bar. You will later come back to her bar to order your drink separately from your food. (2 separate transactions between the food and drinks) The music is loud and the customers are louder so its almost impossible to hear anyone over it. We went fully anticipating to sit in and have a nice lunch experience, but because the bartender made the experience hard and unpleasant for us from the start (between her rude manner when speaking to us and her less then interesting attitude in working; as she was on her phone texting) we almost immediately changed our minds and knew we didn't want to be in that atmosphere anymore. So for a place with such high hopes it was a huge let down. Who wants to eat somewhere the dinning experience is uncomfortable and confusing...
Read moreNADC Fort Worth unfortunately did not live up to the promise that I was expecting.
First the wait for food was frankly ridiculous, almost 40 minutes for me to get a single burger and fries. Location was busy but nothing outrageous I waited to order for about 4 minutes and found a table immediately so I wouldn’t call it packed. I heard multiple people mention they had waited 45 minutes to an hour. Given the size of the kitchen and the staff and limited menu I would think pumping out burgers would be a little quicker. Not trying to be impatient here but compared to something like NFA in Atlanta or even their own food trucks in Austin this seems a bit excessive.
Next the burger looking at it, it looked delicious but after digging in, unfortunately it was disappointing. I had to check myself but multiple times it’s mentioned these are smash burgers. The patties I got were fairly thick, undercooked ( still very rare in the middle ) and very little maillard reaction. Seems like in a rush they simply weren’t pressing the meat down and the burgers undercooked because they weren’t pressed correctly. Without a solid patty it’s hard to move past that, the flavor was there, the pickles jalapeños were a nice touch but that was the end of that. I finished maybe under half the burger once I got to rare middle.
Fries were another missed opportunity, overcooked, and just underwhelming, paired well with the special sauce just would have been better if fried a little shorter.
Overall it sucks to give this place such a low rating and I rarely give places a one star. I wanted to like NADC the flavor is here but the burger just was not good as cooked. Especially given that the burger is 16$ alone. They should be nailing this, premium price should equal premium product. But that wasn’t the case here.
I’d like to give them a shot later maybe they need a little more time to break things in but for the price I’d rather go to a number of better burgers...
Read moreOkay so let me set the scene, it was Labor Day (apologies for the delay on the review haha) and I was on vacation walking around Main Street killing time. It was hot and I had already gone through my bottled water I brought with me so I was desperately looking for anything open to get a drink. I come across NADC burger and tried my luck. It’s open and I practically dove towards the bar. The waitress (which I believe was also the manager) was incredibly friendly, got me a soda and told me about their food. I thought sure what the heck and went along my way. Came back an hour later after more cardio and sat down to eat.
Now I am an extremely picky eater, I always get plain cheeseburgers wherever I go. I don’t like toppings and Ive been this way since I was born, but Ive been trying to break my eating habits and this time I was so incredibly hungry I just said screw it and ordered their signature without onions thinking if anything I’d eat a few bites and gorge myself on the fries. I kid you not, and I am 100% serious. That was the greatest burger I’ve had in my entire life. It practically melted in your mouth it was so juicy, it was perfectly done, no cold center or burnt edges. I must have looked like a vile demon the way I inhaled that darn thing. Didn’t even register that I was eating toppings I would have touched with a 10 foot pole prior.
And while I can’t comment on any of the entertainment of the venue, If you’re in the area and want a damn good burger then stop by here. If I’m in DFW again, I don’t care how far away it is I will...
