WORST PIZZA EVER TODAY!!! I have been coming here for 10 years now and the pizzas were usually at least pretty good. This time it was nothing but a bunch of dough and the least amount of ingredients I have ever seen on anything short of a one dollar frozen King Soopers microwave pizza.
Even the whole pizza was smaller than usual, as it kept sliding back and forth in the box. I didn't look at it until I got home or I would have said something. Literally this was like eating pizza dough with virtually no sauce and ridiculously few ingredients.
However, this last thing really pisses me off. It is the reason I write this review. Over the last 10 years of coming right here to this Papa John's, they have ALWAYS (100% of the time) included a few little packets of parmesan and red pepper. This time I had to ask for them and Vacuous Millennial Beard Boy told me he was going to charge me 10 cents per packet, because they have ALWAYS done this for the last decade(that's 10 years, as in the entire amount of time I have been coming to this very facility). Never ever happened before.
He insisted he was right and yet over the last 10 years nobody ever said one word to me about it and rather continued to just add these items to my order FREE OF CHARGE!
Now since VACUOUS MILLENNIAL BEARD BOY chose to tell me this after my being a customer here for the last 10 years, and in addition to making me stand there and wait for 10 minutes while he chatted on the phone and let my pizza get cold(you moron), and the fact that this WAS THE MOST POORLY MADE PIZZA I HAVE EVER GOTTEN, I will no longer return to this facility. EVER! It was never that good. Only tolerable and convenient.
There are numerous pizza places right within a few blocks of this one(all the major chains and some great locals are close by), that are substantially better and some even much cheaper than this Papa John's.
This is in reality the 2nd time I got a horrid pizza here, but I chose to give them another chance. Their chances are all used up. Dried out, cold, very limited topping pizzas are a thing of the past. No wonder Peyton bailed on this chain. A wise decision. NOT...
Read moreI don't understand why this establishment has such terrible reviews. They delivered within the promised time and the driver was very nice, respectful, and professional. I have had bad pizza delivery experiences in the past with other companies, but Papa John's was a good choice tonight. Will order again soon. EDIT: I now understand the bad reviews. I would like to tell about my very next experience with this location that was no more than a week later. So, I called to place an order and was instantly put on hold. After waiting 3-5 minutes someone picked up the phone and I could hear a voice talking in the background then the phone was a hung up. I called back and a different lady answered the phone and after telling me the specials she also hung up. At this point I'm getting extremely frustrated. I called for a third time and the man who answered asked if I would hold. I responded "No, I already have and also been hung up on twice." He said they were too busy for phone calls and so I told him i would order from another pizza place because i treated so rudely. This location is poorly ran on busy nights. If its dinner time, order Blackjack on Dayton and Arapahoe. They were awesome that night, the manager at Blackjack even carried the pizza to my car as my arm...
Read moreFirst and foremost I do enjoy Papa John's the most out of any fast food pizza joint. However, this specific Papa John's has a few annoyances.
Consistency is not good. You could ask for light cheese and get extra cheese instead. Another time you could ask for normal cheese and get incredibly light cheese - like just a few small shreds here or there. Same goes for all their toppings.
The staff are sticklers for nickel and dimeing you. At other locations they don't mind giving you an extra sauce or some parmesan/red pepper flakes. Here on Arapahoe they treat these little packets as worth more than the $40 in pizza you just bought. Really annoying when all you want are a few red pepper packets but you already paid and they insist on ringing up a second order.
The building is a dive and the workers are greasy/gross for the most part. Take a shower! Wash your hair please! Nobody wants to buy their food from same greasy neckbeard who's interpretation of water/soap is butter and cheese.
As far as Papa John's goes I would give this location a 1 star. But it is Papa Johns, and I am biased towards their pizza, so 2 stars it is. I would not go here if they weren't the closest Papa...
