Five Stars is Not Enough for Zig Zag Restaurant!
If I could give Zig Zag in Greenwood Village ten stars, I would. This extraordinary family-owned gem delivers an experience so rare and wonderful, it completely redefines what a night out can be. From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed into an atmosphere that is the perfect blend of classy sophistication and comfort that feels like home.
The food? Absolutely unreal. Every dish on the menu is a masterpiece of creativity and craftsmanship, flawlessly executed by the husband-owner who is not just the executive chef, but a culinary genius. Each plate that comes out of the kitchen is bursting with bold, inventive flavors that somehow feel both thrillingly new and instantly nostalgic. Whether you’re trying a small plate or a main course, you can taste the passion and artistry behind every bite.
The cocktails are equally mind-blowing. Zig Zag’s bar menu is a destination in itself — inventive, balanced, and crafted with the kind of love and precision you only find in world-class establishments. These are not your average cocktails; these are experiences in a glass.
What truly sets Zig Zag apart, however, is the heart behind it. The owners — the husband-and-wife duo — make it a point to personally greet every table, and their warmth is genuinely unforgettable. The wife, the restaurant’s brand ambassador, makes you feel like you’re an old family friend from the second you walk in. Her grace and welcoming spirit are the soul of the place. Their passion radiates through the entire staff, creating a vibe that is both elegant and sincerely joyful.
Speaking of the staff, Aaron, our waiter, deserves special recognition. World-class service doesn’t even begin to cover it. Attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable without being overbearing, and truly invested in making the night magical — Aaron made an incredible meal even better.
Zig Zag is not just a restaurant. It’s a celebration of food, family, creativity, and community. It’s the kind of place you find once in a lifetime — and once you do, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.
Do yourself a favor: run, don’t walk, to Zig Zag. It will absolutely blow...
Read moreI first discovered Zig Zag Smokin' Burger and the Meatball Eatery two years ago while working in Colorado, and it has quickly become a must-eat destination for me. Since returning to the Denver area, I’ve been eating there at least three or four times a week over the past month, and each visit has been a delight. You would be hard-pressed to find anything on their menu that isn't a gastronomic delight. Their lamb burger and goat cheese sub are particular standouts, both bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The tomato soup is phenomenal, offering a rich and comforting taste. Equally impressive is the penne, which is excellently prepared, and the risotto, which achieves perfection. The meatballs are another highlight, wonderfully seasoned and cooked.Their beet salad is a flavor explosion, with candied walnuts, goat cheese, and slightly roasted beets combining to create a memorable dish. The ahi sashimi, served with hoisin ginger sauce, is a must-try, offering a fresh and vibrant taste that is simply perfection. The in-house made root beer, which contains real sarsaparilla and about 18 other ingredients, is one of the best I've ever had. Their cocktails, especially the Back Outcide and the Bee Sting, are crafted to perfection by their talented mixologists, adding to the overall experience. The staff at Zig Zag Smokin' Burger are friendly, gregarious, and always provide great conversation. Their warm and welcoming demeanor makes each visit special. All the ingredients are fresh and well-curated, contributing to the high-quality dining experience.Overall, Zig Zag Smokin' Burger is hands down one of the best restaurants in Denver. If you find yourself in the area, it’s a must-visit spot that promises an exceptional culinary experience. I'm already looking forward to...
Read moreGrant was our server. Asked us what we wanted. Never asked if we would like something to drink after we placed our food order. Ordered a burger and a patty melt which I asked to be well done with no grilled onions. The food came out very fast which is always a concern. Do they really make the burgers fresh or are they pre made and then slapped on the grill. A well done burger should not come out so fast. Sure enough the patty melt had onions. I felt like Grant really did not pay attention to my order. He placed another order for a patty melt without onions and I said please make sure it is well done. Again the re order came out within five minutes and was not cooked like I asked. Which a well done hamburger patty takes longer than five minutes to be well done. So I say gotta be pre made burgers. Grant never asked my son if he wanted a refill on his Dr Pepper which we had to ask for during our meal as Grant never asked us if we wanted anything to drink. After we were done eating Grant never asked us if we wanted anything else like desert. Not good service especially since our order was wrong. That was the worse service I had in a very long time. Music was way to loud to have a conversation with my son. The burger and patty melt tasted awful again made me think the burger was pre made our something. After we got back home both of us felt sick with a stomach ache. Again I say the food came out way to fast. I have not ever been to another burger restaurant we’re the burgers came out within 5 or so minutes. Just tasted very bad and pre made. Will never recommend this place or every come back. Big waste of my money for bad service and awful tasting food that made two...
