Just had loaded BRISKET fries at Whistle Stop Inn and oh-em-gee yall!! I’m from TX so I’ve been hankerin for some tender juicy brisket and bbq for a WHILE! This place NAILED it!!

Desserts- Yall… the Cotton Candy Cheesecake with strawberry icing… I nearly died from pure food ecstasy. Even my boyfriend, who is NOT big on sweets (NEVERRR gets dessert) took a bite and wanted more!! He said it’s not oversweet like most treats and I had to fight him off MY cheesecake!!

Yall.

You gotta try this place out.

Alternate food selections- They have deep fried banana peppers, a crazy take on grilled cheese, and cheese curds too so my vegetarian and pescatarian friends will enjoy this place too.

Drinks- They have a MASSIVE drink selection too. INCLUDING my favorite, Dr. Pepper (in a cold can yussss)!!

Music- there’s an app for that! You can control the music with their very own jukebox app!

Waitress- Christie was the SWEETEST! She definitely did not steer us wrong!

Parking- parking is sus but we parked by the tunnel which says $5 parking but there wasn’t anyone there to pay soooooo good luck...

Edit after the response from the owner of this establishment: Your response as an owner to a “patron” is disgraceful, and maybe it’s a result of your employees disrespect to people that walk into your place. We waited at a table with no acknowledgement then I went up to the bar for my drinks, your employee had to then come ask me if I wanted to start a tab or close it out, while I took my own drinks to the table of me and the guy with me. Yes, I asked he her to not “spit in my food” because of her attitude, I understand long days or hard days but I was completely disrespected in your establishment and your response to my review is shameful….

If you are not a patron to this bar you are not welcomed, I’ve tried to give this place multiple tries to prove me wrong but every time I’ve walked into the place they prove me right of “you don’t feel welcomed/belong” attitude from the bartenders, this evening was the worst I’ve ever experienced before at any establishment I’ve ever been at. If I could give a negative for the experience and service I...

Went to The Whistle Stop last night for a quick dinner before going to a concert at White River. Our server was a cutie, and gave us great recommendations. We split the brisket fries and were so impressed with them! —

  1. The waffle fries weren’t soggy at all, nice and crispy.
  2. The brisket was super fresh and really tender.
  3. The melted cheese was actual shredded cheese instead of that weird, runny cheese liquid some restaurants use. It included jalapeños, ranch dressing and bbq sauce …. We had those put on the side. The app was so good, I didn’t even use them! The pork sandwich was very good. The pork wasn’t actually smoked, but was really tender and tasty. They hand-pattied Burger was also excellent. Being an IPA lover, wish they had more than just Zombie Dust and Gumball Head, but not that big a deal. We’ll definitely be...

Love this guys takes on American classic foods his cheeseburgers are one of the best in the city!!! And your never to old to eat Pizza Rolls and he Deep fries them like my aunt dude for me as a kid and he rolls them in a few different sauces I just got the sauce on the side I’m a dipper lol… started off with a couple of ice cold Stella Beer and I think I tried a different beer there too can’t remember.. but then I moved on to the deep fried pizza rolls with a side of garlic parmesan sauce and a side of his famous Brisket waffle fries with a party on top of them!!! Those fries matched up with those sauces and that perfectly cooked brisket is really a whole meal in itself!!! But they are super great and I highly recommend go and say hey to the owner he a pretty cool guy and I will return soon!!

My husband and I are visiting from Champaign, IL and are staying at a close by hotel. We wanted to check out a local bar with good eats and found this one was well recommended. Abby was our server and was very friendly and fun to visit with. Our food -we partook of the Brisket Basket- was sensational! The blend of ingredients was savory, and the perfect blend of salty, sweet and spicy. And no nucleus friends! Even spread throughout. Blow the whistle when you leave for an extra special treat. 😜 Well done Whistlestop. Be back again!

Small place with surprising food. We went during a convention and we were able to get a table immediately. Though I believe there were only 3 people working (2 in the kitchen and 1 running the bar and seated area) they did a great job of providing service and getting food out. We were truly surprised by the Duck Empanadas they were very good. Look to come back and bring my wife, but would probably avoid during a colts game unless you want that energy being only a block from Lucas oil stadium I imagine they get very busy.
