The owner is racist. He lied to a police officer and told him my 6ft8 darkskin husband was angry and that is why he was not allowed in the bar. My husband did not utter a word to anyone the entire time in line or once in the doors to pay. He walked up to pay for the both of us. His phone died when trying to do apple pay so he stepped aside to let me tap and pay off of my phone. The guy at the door aggressively asked if I was paying for him too. I said "yes this is my husband". As I was pulling up my apple wallet I see a police officer pushing my husband out of the door. We were with 6 other people and everyone was extremely confused. When I asked the officer what did my husband do he said that the owner said that he needed to leave and that he did not know. I found the owner and asked him why was my husband kicked out of the bar before even being able to enter and enjoy himself first he couldn't even look me in my eyes. I asked him again and he said that my husband was "getting angry". I am not sure what anger he is talking about. No one ever has called my husband angry never has my husband acted angry in private and never ever in public . It actually annoys me that hes like that sometimes because he extremely kind and tolerant of people. Everyone knows my husband to be this not just me. My husband was not out of my sight and right next to me and the people we were with. The owner was giving my husband as well as my family disgusting looks the entire time we were in line. Everyone had to wait as it was all star weekend. The crowd in brothers was about 90% white and everyone else of another race. Once we got to the front of line suddenly the cover charge changed to $40 a person and made us wait 42 minutes minutes to be exact in 20 degree whether when the bar was nowhere near capacity. People who did not look like us were walking up and asking if they could pay him "x" amount of money and he let them in. When my husband tried to do the same thing he said "I don't need YOUR money". Neither did he look my husband in the eye when speaking to him. The owner blatantly lied to get my husband kicked out so that we would all leave with him. 0 stars. No one else was treated that way unless they were causing trouble. This was my first time going to brothers. My oldest brother has been going for years and says the owners are racist but doesn't say anything to his white friends because when he goes with them he doesn't have a problem and wants a good time with his friends. It's extremely sad. I personally will not be returning which I'm sure the owner is happy about. I also encouraged my family members to share their experiences on yelp instead of just letting it blow over because they are so used to getting treated this way at brothers specifically. We dont have this problem at any other bar but BROTHERS. Please do brothers a favor if you are black and take "your" money else where. The owner already treats everyone crappy but how much more to someone who doesn't look like him. Not only that but I dont think its a coincidence that other dark-skinned nationalities are on yelp saying that this owner or his managers have accused them of things that...
Read moreI’ll start by saying that the food was really good and the atmosphere is cool. Outdoor seating with games and stuff are really cool.
We sat at the bar and the service was lacking. Took a bit to be welcomed or asked if we needed drinks. When we were finally addressed, we were asked,”did you want something”. Which I thought was obvious since we walk in at sat at the bar. So of course drinks are filled with ice to lesson the amount of alcohol the bar uses so upon getting someone’s attention to order the second, for my wife, I asked for half the ice and in return, received less alcohol and more mix to compensate.
Again, food was really good but I had to wave someone down from the congregation occurring at the corners of the bar so we could get utensils and napkins.
The bar tender who I waved down ended up moving to the congregation of staff at the other end of the bar to keep from being bothered I can only assume.
Later a waitress stopped by and asked if we were ok and we ended up ordering something to go.
On the way out I stopped and thanked her and she herself said , I noticed no one was paying attention to you.
If it’s that noticeable to an employee, can you imagine what it feels like to be the paying customer?
I added a pic of the employees standing around and by the way the girl on the far left is who actually stepped...
Read moreA group of friends of mine went on a Wednesday night so it was not very busy or loud. Able to get seated right away. Then have a QR code for drinks but do also offer printed menus too. They had 6 dollar 32oz long island special running that night and I tried the Blue Razz which was great. Long Islands not your thing? That's okay because it looked like they had 4 to 6 different drink specials everyday! The server was nice and efficient. She cleared empty dishes and cups quickly and also got another drink for a person in the party quickly as well. The food is reasonably priced for the location, type of place, and the amount you get. Got the loaded cheese fries which could have probably used maybe a little more cheese, but was delicious. Also got the half pound chicken nuggets with two of the sauces on the side target than tossed in it. The lemon pepper has some surprising zing to it while the honey Sriracha had a nice bite that didn't over stay its welcome. If you're not big on acidic flavors though, may wish to steer clear. The ranch was nothing to write home about though. The chicken itself tasted fresh and decent size. Overall, good place to gather and get food and drinks. Certainly recommend if it is not busy or the wait isn't very long. Well within walking distance of pretty...
