We came here and ordered a bucket-o-fries, cheese calzone, margherita pizza, and meatball Parm pizza. The order experience is a little odd as you choose your seats first, get a menu, then go to the counter and order from there and pay in advance (prompts for tip too).
Place is small and a tad crowded but the decor is great and a lot of fun. Very laid back atmosphere and staff.
Now this place was featured on Triple D with Guy Fieri, so our expectations were high. The fries came first, cooked perfectly but no seasoning at all. Crispy and once I corralled some salt, tasted great.
Margherita pizza was good. They combined fresh mozzarella with regular, which we thought was an odd touch. Felt it would be better with only fresh mozz on it. It was good, but didn't blow us away.
The meatball parm to me was a bit better. The meatballs were sliced up on top and had good flavor. Great portion of cheese and sauce, and overall flavor was a step above the margherita. I would recommend this pizza if you head here.
For both pizzas, they had the same crust style, medium thickness, crispy and not chewy. I felt the dough could use a little more seasoning. It was good though, and my kids enjoyed it too.
The calzone was good as well, but I would rather get pizza here. It's the same crust and cheeses, so not much else to say.
All things said, it's a fun stop for food. A party of 4 can easily get seated, but larger than that you'll probably have to wait over a larger tables shoulders. My only real issue was the price points. $32 for an 18" margherita, $22 for a 12" meatball parm, and $16 for a calzone seemed high. I'd say the price points should of been $25, $18, and $12 respectively. Be nice too if seating was controlled by staff vs. a free-for-all.
Regardless of any of my non-positive remarks, it's worth a visit if you are in...
Read moreOkay, let me start by saying if I reviewed this place on its pizza only I would probably have given a 5 star rating but the rating should be on the entire experience. With that said this place needs to decide if they want to be a carry out pizza place or if they want to be a restaurant. Can’t have it both ways. First off - you go to a counter where you place your order - we’ll that is if you can get that person to put their cell phone away. Picked it up and texted 3 times while I was trying to place my order. Once you place your order your on your on to service yourself for drinks - no help from them - we ordered a salad and a supreme pizza. Salad came in a steel bowl with plastic fork - too much salad for that small a bowl but good grief we did pay $8 for it a knife would have been helpful since it was all large pieces. Enough on that, next came the pizza - which again I say was a 5 but then they ruined it by giving me this thin sliver of see through wax paper to use as a plate. Really? Seriously? Give your customers a dang plate or just go to carry out! Once the slice of pizza hit that paper it was done it was so thin felt like I was eating off the table. Again pizza was really good but the service at this place is lacking severely!! I don’t know if they are trying to save on washing dishes or save the environment with reducing waste or what , but after spending $65 including a tip for a pizza and two salads (salad was $8 each) you think you could get real silverware and a dang plate to eat on. I’m sorry I don’t usually fuss so but you need a plate. I can also say if I would have known the “lack” of service we were going to get I would not have tipped when I paid - which you do...
Read moreI ate at this pizzeria in Jackson Hole, the pizza they gave me was raw at the crust. Unfortunately, I didn't realize immediately because I was very hungry and the pizza was my breakfast for lunch and even then based on its reputation I don't feel like I should have to be concerned about raw dough on the first place. When I eventually looked at the leftovers and noticed the raw dough after giving a slice to my son, I reasonably returned to the restruant for a refund. However the first cashier and bartender who attended me was not helpful or understanding. Despite my calm attitude the cashier/bartender was confrontational and instead tried to blame me for not noticing their error. Fortunately I was not alone and the other cashier took over however the first cahsier/bartender tried to intimidate me by standing taller and getting close to the register which is just unprofessional and disappointing. Nevertheless, my biggest concern was the lack of quality checks and reckless decision making. After helping me get my refund the nicer cashier disclosed and explained that the reason for the uncooked pizza was because someone thought that it would be okay to allow one of the newer cashier who had no prior cooking experience or proper training, based on the raw dough, help cook for the day. This is reckless and dangerous as someone could genuinely get very sick especially if there is clearly no quality control. I hope that neither I or my son feel ill beacuse then I'll be forced to take legal action. Overall this is a huge disappointment since now I can't confidently support a local business based on its mixed customer service...
