I went for a walk with my wife and dog by Newport Waterfront when we saw the cutest little coffee shop by the dog park we were at. We didn't know if they would be pet friendly, but when we went in to ask; without hesitation we all were kindly invited in. The line was a little long but the workers were so welcoming and efficient as needed.
My wife and I both got just a plain black coffee, but there was simply nothing plain about it. It tasted even more delectable than I would've thought. You can tell the baristas are passionate about their crafts and put time and love into each drink. To eat, I got a very nice ham and cheese croissant and my wife a curry leaf empanada. It was very nice to see the owner have many vegan and vegetarian food accommodations.
We were originally going to take the food to go but decided to sit and enjoy it. While doing so we couldn't help but enjoy the rich coffee aromas filling the air, and the very warm and homey displays and decorations. The ambiance is so inviting and cozy, with comfortable seating arrangements perfect for both solo visitors seeking a quiet moment of reflection and groups looking to engage in lively conversations.
The warm, welcoming atmosphere combined with the friendly staff creates a sense of community that keeps patrons, and soon myself, coming back time...
Read moreHonestly wasnât expecting much, but this place kind of surprised me. I came by Roastâd around 4 PM â slightly busy, but nothing crazy. Waited maybe 5 minutes for a mocha and a couple for a cold brew. The staff was nice and helped me figure out what to order, which I appreciated.
Iâve been to a lot of coffee shops, probably over 100, and this mocha stood out. Creamy, balanced, not too chocolatey or overly sweet â just done right. The cold brew was solid too, with a couple flavor options and a clean taste.
Thereâs indoor and outdoor seating, not a ton of space inside but it didnât feel cramped either. Outsideâs definitely the move â thereâs a nice breeze and youâre right by the water, plus benches nearby if you want to walk around after. Also dog-friendly, which is always a plus.
Coffee in general is overpriced these days, but for this area, the pricing felt pretty fair. I donât go out for coffee often, but if I do, Iâd...
Read moreRoast'd Coffee, which opened a couple of months ago by the JC waterfront next to Starbucks, is a fantastic addition to the local coffee scene. Iâm not a coffee snob, but I have to say, I find their coffee really good. I usually go for a regular oat latte, and itâs always delicious. They also have specials, like the cardamom rose latte, which isnât for everyone, but I loved. For something non-caffeinated, the turmeric latte is tasty although a tad sweet.
Plenty of comfy seating and really nice staff. Great place to read or get some work done as itâs open until 6 or 7 PM every day.
Food menu is more limited than other cafes in the area as this is more of a coffee spot. For hot food, they have a ham and cheese croissant that they toast up, and you can't really go wrong with that. I think theyâve expanded their menu to include samosas and avocado toast. Great variety of...
