Shake Shack Newport Centre — Restaurant in Jersey City

Employees minus the manager are extremely unprofessional. Staff was rude, obnoxious, and miserable. I felt very uncomfortable with the customer service. They even began to talk about me amongst each other, completely mocking me while I was standing right there. All because I wanted to pay cash because the credit line was too long. The manager was awesome, though. He stepped in, took very good care of me, and apologized for his staff. He even came out to me at my table and apologized again and gave me some comp cards. He did his best, but I still had to leave a review and give them 2 stars for customer service. The only reason they got two stars was cause the manager. Otherwise, it would be 1 star. This store is in the 3rd floor food court of Newport mall. There are self ordering kiosks and registers to order with cashier. Nice open dining space. But there are only few tables to dine-in.

I put in an order via mobile app for pick up. We went to the store in couple of minutes. Waited about fifteen minutes to get my order. Finally I went to the counter and asked one of the staff member about my order. They brought it out from the back. It appears that they had already called my name before I got to the store. They saw me standing for 15 minutes, but never bothered to ask. I tried to ask for some ketchup packs and the lady turned away like she was horrified. Such horrible service. We went on a Sunday to pick up lunch; we ordered to go-- 5 items. We waited for 35 minutes before we were able to track someone down who didn't tell us "to wait a little longer" and they went back to check to see if our order was completed. Their system said our food was already picked up even though we were left standing there without food....

Then they told us they would make a new set for us which took another 20 minutes... so that this point were there for 55 minutes... then when we got the food, IT WAS COLD..... (and squished and soggy)... No apologies and no move to try to make up for it...

I know it's a new team but there were something like 30 staff members behind the counter and some of them were just standing there. Not sure how this location will perform with this...
