Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in Kenosha

First time and last time visiting this place. Only reason I went because of some gift cards I won.

Online ordering just plan sucks. Can't remove an item in the cart. You can't enter a gift card when checking out. Called to place the order. Not very polite phone etiquette. After done placing order, was just simply hung up on. Place is very pricey for the food quality and what you get. Ordered XL package. $65 for what is said to feed up to 8 people. Maybe the 8 rolls and 3lbs of meat spread out but as for the $6 sides is just an insult. You get one cup, maybe a cup and half of whatever side it is you're ordering. I could have spent this kind of money and sat down at Texas Roadhouse. Had drinks and table service. It was never clear of my options for BBQ sauce. I asked just as I was grabbing the bag leaving, now the BBQ sauce is on the side and what kind is it? I was told yes on the side and original. After serving my family and young children we found that 1 out of 2 sauces were spicy. We all had the spicy BBQ sauce which I didn't mind but for the rest, this spoiled their dinner.

Maria the lady who says she runs the place, just yelled at me saying she has been there since 8 am she began yelling saying she had to run turn her car off stop the alarm just to come answer the phone... I will never ever spend my money at this place again, and I mean it. She began telling me how Tyler the person who took my order wasn’t lying about what I order!??! Or you serious!!! You made the order Maria, with giving us 4 bake beans as sides that we never wanted. Should of been Mac and cheese and green beans. She explain how long Tyler was on the phone with me to make the order, and he shouldn’t of been, but if we was in the phone long how did y’all screw up our entire order. Maria claims the 2 for 24 basically take too long to enter so the person who enters the orders just puts in random sides and meat then yell to her the order and it’s all wrong. I’m crying right now because I have never in my life experience this much rudeness. This will stick to me for a while because I can’t believe how she treated me. Like literally crying... food under cooked and now cold... Maria definitely doesn’t like...

I wanted to like this place because the customer service was nice and that’s hard to find nowadays but I have to be honest and this wasn’t it. The chicken sandwich and western sandwich were extremely small and tasteless. It was like a kids meal far as size goes. The 3 meat platter was also tasteless and dry and they don’t give you much meat or sauces at all. This wasn’t authentic BBQ so if you’re looking for that this isn’t for you. The sprite didn’t even taste like sprite so I didn’t have a good experience far as taste and the quality/quantity. Definitely wasn’t worth the $35-40+ we spent. I wouldn’t even go back if they offered to make it right because it was the lack of flavor and like I wrote it’s NOT authentic BBQ. DAY 2 UPDATE: Our stomachs are really sour. The fact that we had leftovers and it wasn’t a lot of food to begin with tells you everything you need to know. Clearly we discarded the rest of the food. This is a definite NEVER AGAIN...
