Art of Flavors — Restaurant in Las Vegas

WARNING: Art of Flavors has CHANGED OWNERS, nationality (from Italian to Mexican) and apparently concept ! The review below dates from 2016. Since then the owners have changed so the review is outdated. IF YOU KNOW WHAT THE PREVIOUS OWNER became and WHERE he went, please let me know as he makes world class ice-cream and he has an exquisite taste for using, and mixing unexpected ingredients and flavours.

(April 2016, NOW OUTDATED) One cannot be laudative enough about this outstanding place ! Almost incredible compositions of ice cream flavours !! If you're culinarily curious and adventurous like me, you'll want to try them all... Guess what ? The owner is so friendly and relaxed that he will let you, even invite you, to try them one by one (I was lucky to have no follower waiting in line :-) ). With my family of 5, we eventually order at least 10 flavours, and churros for the 4pm snack ;-) Also serves coffee(s), homemade buiscuits and freshly made (stuffed) churros. Price really reasonable ! The guy really diserves a huge success, a branch in all the world's capital cities would be a must, hopefully in Paris too :-) Don't miss the place...

Desserts at Art of Flavors Gelato just North of the Las Vegas Strip. Parked at this little strip mall adjacent to a place that slings out arepas. So you know I'll be back to this little place when I want to try the arepas next door.

You should see the fridge with all the different flavors ready to be unleashed. Great flavors like Cheetos, hummus, fried chicken wings, baklava, salted caramel and many others. The man behind the counter asked us how we heard about this place, on Google, where else? After serving a few more people that came in after us, he let us try one of the secret flavors in the fridge. Cheetos really tasted like Cheetos. All of these selections made by Pastry Chef Desyree. A great imagination turned into different gelatos and sorbettos which you can also order cakes in these flavors. That would be something else to have your guests try to figure out what flavor cake they are having when it's fried chicken wings or baklava. I had the dark chocolate and the basil sorbetto in the same cup. The combination was a great match. It was like a dark chocolate you would have in a candy bar. Great suggestions when I...

My family called me crazy for wanting ice cream in the 40-50 degree Vegas winter weather. But, I was craving ice cream so we decided to give this place a try.

We came on a weeknight and it wasn't too busy. The employee was very welcoming and friendly with us! He let us try a bunch of flavors, but once I tried the Salted Caramel Bulleit Bourbon gelato, I knew that was what I wanted. Salted Caramel is one of my all time favorite flavors of ice cream, and what better flavor to enjoy it with than a hint of bourbon? I loved the balance between both of the flavors. Neither of them overpowered the other and yet I could still taste both flavors in every bite. The ice cream also wasn't too sweet, which is a huge plus. I'll definitely be back if I'm ever...
