I visited Lad Nah Silom on a Friday night with my friends and we had a great time enjoying the authentic Thai street food experience. The restaurant is located on Hollywood Blvd, near the Thai Town sign. It has four stalls that offer different dishes, such as rad na, pad thai, papaya salad, grilled meat, and desserts. We ordered a variety of dishes and shared them among ourselves. The rad na crispy noodles were my favorite dish. They were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, topped with a savory gravy and tender beef slices. The portion was generous and satisfying. The pad thai was also delicious, with tangy tamarind sauce, fresh bean sprouts, and roasted peanuts. The papaya salad was refreshing and spicy, with shredded green papaya, tomatoes, carrots, green beans, and roasted cashews. The grilled meat was juicy and flavorful, with a choice of chicken, pork, or beef skewers. The desserts were sweet and indulgent, with options like mango sticky rice, coconut ice cream, and Thai crepes. The service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was lively and fun. We felt like we were transported to the streets of Bangkok for a night. The prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. I would definitely recommend Lad Nah Silom to anyone who loves Thai food or wants to try something new and exciting. It’s a great place to go with friends or family for a casual and...
Read moreThis place has been blowing up on social media recently because of it’s Thai street food cooking style and authentic taste! Serving fresh, HOT, very tasty meals on the streets of east Hollywood is a small stall in front of a Thai plaza. Only 3 people working there when I stopped by, 2 cooks and a cashier, and they are cooking some very good, mouth watering dishes. Ordered up waited about 5 minutes and the food was ready to eat!
Pad see ew and fried rice were what I chose and both were first off hot🔥 but the pad see ew was meaty, slightly sweet…the chewy noodles added great texture! The vegetables are a bit crunchy but perfect with this dish here. The peppers are not playing! 🙅♂️ they will BITE! So be careful 👀
Now the fried rice…watched the man cook that thang, whew! So fast and in my hands so quickly and eaten up! Loved the flavor of this.
Must come...
Read moreA must if you are in the area. Fantastic food and a tremendously authentic down-to-Earth ambience - you will feel like you are eating streetside in Asia (I mean that in the best possible way!).
There are several stalls to choose from lined up again the store front - from savory crepes, pan fried noodles, to fried intestines. Some stalls accept debit/credit cards while others only accept cash or have a Zelle set up. Everything is so reasonably priced! Although it gets busy, there is ample seating (seating is plastic stools)
Parking can be done via metered street parking, although free parking can also likely be found just West at the Ross and...
