There are too few really good Mediterranean food establishments in all of LALALAND. An area reknowned for the myriad plethora of killer cuisine is seriously lacking come time for gyros and koobideh. Fortunately, Rosemary Grill is on the affordable side, too. Their gyros may come doused in tzatziki sauce if you don't request it on the side; Feta may need to be requested for a small amount to sprinkle such flavor but the underlying persian/grecian-style meats are phenomenal all the same. As I am transplanted from the south county of Orange, and further of South OC, I was fortunate for a chain restaurant of seemingly fast counter food ubiquity that I would miss dearly if not for Rosemary Grill. While I do so miss the avgolemono soup, the offering at the establishment in DTLA is tasty enough. Bonus and kudos to Rosemary Grill for their combo offerings involving a meaty entree, and a choice of two sides (Salad, Rice, Soup or, for a couple dollars more, kickass french fries. Having tried the Gyro Fries, shish kebab, gyro, and lamb, the combo is certainly the best bang for your buck. Meanwhile, anything ordered is the best bang for your stomach. ...
Read moreit’s a shame that the food was actually good because the portions are so stingyyyy. one of the first mediterranean spots around here that didn’t overcook their meat. if only there was more meat to enjoy! i got my delivery thinking my plate was stacked only to find that most of it was rice. and the hummus! why is the hummus in a container the same size as the garlic sauce. criminal. and then i ordered a salmon skewer and while the salmon was good (if undercooked), i can’t understand these grilled vegetables. a whole mushy tomato, a slice of grilled bell pepper, and a quarter of a basically raw onion? is this what we’re calling skewers now?? i’m just so confused. if you don’t care about not getting enough actual food to eat for your meal, then at least it's pretty tasty. but if you want to get what you paid for, or at lease what is deemed as standard for every other mediterranean restaurant, maybe...
Read moreOne of the best Mediterranean/ Lebanese fast food restaurants I've tried in LA. The sauces for starters are just phenomenal with all of them having different flavours. The chips are delicious and the falafel is by far one of the best ones I've tried. The salad is fresh and the rice is just too good. The portions are great and enough for one person. The place inside is clean and the prices are fair for the portions. I would and definitely advise others to try and I would come back for sure. All the other dishes looked just as good and they have so much variety and worth trying because the meat looked and smelt great. The downfall is the lady working there at the till she is very dull and blunt. She could be a bit more upbeat and smile. She didn't seem enthusiastic like the others. But the rest of the...
