Every time I visit Samata Vegan House, I walk away happy and satiated. The food is vibrant and comforting, and it feels like so much care goes into each dish. The owner brings such warmth to the space that it makes the whole experience special.
Some of my favorites so far: Garlic Tofu with its perfect chew and seasoning Fresh Rolls that are crisp and refreshing Cucumber Salad and Papaya Salad for that bright, zingy kick Either Tofu Larb Salad or Crispy Chicken Larb Salad for a melding of delightful flavors
But the two menu items that pull me back in are the Magic Lemonade and the Khao Mun Gai. The lemonade really does taste magical, and the Khao Mun Gai has become my favorite Thai dish in Los Angeles. It’s a dish you don’t see often on menus here, and finding such a thoughtful vegan version feels especially unique.
I haven’t worked my way through the whole menu yet, which is something I'm excited to do, but everything I’ve tried so far has...
Read moreAVOID!!!! I went to the website, hit order online, received an email confirmation of the order and the charge to my credit card. Walked over to pick my order on my lunch hour only for the owner to tell me he did not get my order. I think, no problem, here's my receipt on my phone, I'll wait while you make my order. The owner refused to honor the online receipt of my payment and said I could pay AGAIN for my order. He blamed it on Order Hero. I told him they are representing his restaurant and sending out a receipt with Vegan House Thai Bistro clearly identified. Any good business owner would have made the situation right. Now I have to deal with getting the charge taken off my credit card. AVOID this terrible "businessman". Should've read the other reviews first that also identified the poor...
Read moreThe service was very friendly and prompt. I ordered 3 things. The Thai tea, the spring rolls, and the pineapple curry. Save your money on the spring rolls. They're literally just mixed salad greens in a wrap. Nowhere near worth what they're charging!
The Thai tea was decent but had an odd bitter note to it that was just a bit off. Good for a vegan version but not the best I've ever had.
The pineapple curry however was delicious! My only complaint was that it didn't come with rice. You have to order that separately which I didn't realize until after the fact. For the price, rice should be included.
The ambience was nice and coming inside was a nice refresher from the heat outside. Would I eat here...
