Still in shock that after negligently causing a huge FIRE as my friends Ray and Shoshana’s wedding was about to begin @casitahollywood made the decision to move forward with charging them FULL price the very next day?? How can any other bride and groom trust this establishment? A fire was literally a blaze, huge aspects of their day ruined, and afterwards guests were forced to sit on seats where the Velcro stuck to our dresses bc everything was so drenched by the sprinklers going off that the cushions on the chairs had to be removed, couches were wet and unusable. This was obviously not what this beautiful couple intended when they agreed to entrust the most important day of their lives to this venue. As a former business owner, there are obviously times when you have to make adjustments for your customers when their experience is thwarted and upended by your actions or failure to act. This wedding happened hours after it was contracted to begin and that alone should be justification enough for @casitahollywood to do the right thing. Yet, they decided not to and in fact, added insult to the injury. That said, if you are considering this venue, I’d suggest you think twice and consider this hard...
Read moreUPDATED WITH ADDITIONAL RESPONSE AT THE BOTTOM: I'm the bride from the wedding that the Casita team set on fire, which set off the sprinklers which then flooded our wedding, on 1/28/23, and then they committed credit card fraud by charging my credit card which they knew they didn't have authority to use but did it when they knew we were on honeymoon and thought we wouldn't notice. Highly recommend you go anywhere else for your event this is not worth your time or your money.
UPDATED TO SAY IN RESPONSE TO CASITA'S RESPONSE: It's a bald face lie to blame the florist, who we chose because Casita recommended them, when it was Casita's event coordinator who directed Casita's staffer to place candles at the base of the 8 foot tall dry floral arch and then to light them. You may as well blame the flowers themselves for getting in the way of the fire that you set. There are hundreds, probably thousands of event spaces in Los Angeles, choose the one that doesn't wait 16 months to write weird copy and paste responses full of falsehoods to legitimate Google reviews, when you can instead rent out a nice venue with competent responsible staff that doesn't light your event on fire and then...
Read moreUpdate: (in response to Casita) THERE WAS NI FAULTY FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS. THE FLORIST LET WELL BEFORE THE CASITA TEAM (1 of whom we were asked to pay “under the table”) DECIDED TO PLACE CANDLES NEAR DRIED FLOWERS. OUR REQUEST WAS FOR CANDLES TO BE PLACED ON THE DINNER TABLES, NOT TO MENTION THE FLORIST WE USED WAS RECOMMENDED BY CASITA AS THEY HAD DONE EVENYS THERE IN THE PAST. CASITA CONTINUES TO HAVE A COMPLETE LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY AS YOU CAN SEE BY THEIR RESPONSE OVER A YEAR LATER. SO SAD.
Original review: We just had our wedding here on 1/28/23 and due to the negligence of their team , there was a massive fire in the venue, destroying our decor and this was just 20 min before guests were scheduled to arrive. The facility manager Sydnee, has no leadership skills nor sense of customer service. Thankfully our family and friends rallied and we salvaged our night as best we could. The best part was that after this they made an unauthorized charged on our cc and have ignored our requests for documentation.
There’s been no apology or accountability taken. Go elsewhere and get your...
