Wow Bento & Roll — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I was pleasantly surprise with what I got from Wow Bento & Roll in DTLA. This little mom and pop shop on Hill is unassuming. That’s probably why I didn’t know about it. Haha. As their name suggest, they specialize in bento boxes and sushi rolls. Although affordable in price, the quality of the food they serve is high. It's better than three stars. Got the sashimi rice plate. Not bad. Coulda used more rice though. Like I'm talking a bed a rice. Didn't get sick, believe it or not. I'm kind of surprised by that. Must be a quality joint. I was feeling fish today. Folks have to know what they're serving up and I'm grateful for it. But yeah that rice woulda been better if it came on a bed of rice. Only complaint.

Edit: in hindsight this place is actually good af. Def want more rice on the sashimi rice...

Small place to eat with about 8-10 tables and it can get crowded during the lunch time, but you can't beat the prices for sushi and rice bowls. There is a $5 chicken tempura bowl I recommend (rice, teriyaki chicken, with 3 pieces of tempura), it's definitely a cheap lunch option for downtown la. The taste of the sushi is great...
