Being on the rooftop was lovely when it started to get a little cooler and the sun came down they did turn the heaters on, they do provide those. But the service was awful. We had to stop the lady to take our order after waiting for about 30 minutes. Yet she went to the table next to us multiple times walked past us about six or seven times because she was serving other tables around us and never stopped. We literally had to stop her to get service. Don’t get me wrong. The food was decent, but what I spent, almost $80 for two little bitty tacos some chips and guac and a quesadilla that was really a fajita mix slapped in between a tortilla
. NO. THE ONLY THING I CAN SAY NICE ABOUT THIS PLACE IS THAT THE ROOFTOP ATMOSPHERE WAS LOVELY OTHER THAN THAT IT RUIN ON MY DAUGHTER’S BIRTHDAY FEELING FOR DINNER AND WE STILL ENDED UP GOING TO A DIFFERENT RESTAURANT TO GET FOOD. Also, I’m all down for having a filler but for those prices it shouldn’t have been that much fillers.

This was my first time visiting and first off I loved the crowd of ppl it was a vibe the bar stools are uncomfortable as hell lol but it was ok. The food (tacos) was good but they ran out of food which was really odd to me considering we got there at 9pm. Friday and Saturday is usually a busy days for a rooftop so was there not more food??!! We put in an order for asada tacos then after waiting 10 mins I went to inquire about the order this male server with blonde hair (who would NOT give me his name) was VERY rude and irritated that I inquired about my order. I asked him is he ok...his response after rolling his eyes multiple times and sighing loudly was, "yea" I asked to speak to a manager for a refund because no one told us the food ran out. Eventually the manager came to speak to us about a refund and said it will be refunded to us but this experience was not what I expected.

I sincerely hope that management takes the time to read this review, as there are significant improvements needed.

My friend and I initially made a reservation for four but arrived with just two, which required a brief wait to find a suitable table. Once seated, we were promptly greeted by our server, who took our order. We requested two chicken quesadillas, Mexican corn, a French 75, and a margarita with tajin.

The food arrived quickly, which was appreciated since we were quite hungry; however, the quality was disappointing. The quesadillas contained very little chicken, the guacamole lacked flavor, and it was overloaded with vegetables. While we were eating, another server approached us to ask if we wanted to close our tab. This caught us off guard, as we were still dining and had not yet received our drinks, which had been pending for 30 to 40 minutes. When I inquired about being asked to settle the bill for items we hadn’t received, she explained that since the order was placed at the bar, her manager instructed her to close the tab. However, I had not ordered at the bar. The total came to $112, and I was surprised to see a $4 charge for adding tajin to my drink. After paying the bill, I requested to speak with the manager.

It took another 15 minutes for the manager to arrive, and we still had not received our drinks. Upon hearing our concerns, he stated, “I’m not trying to make an excuse,” yet proceeded to do just that. He lacked problem-solving skills and asked us what we wanted him to do, implying that we needed to voice our needs. As a manager, he should have proactively sought a resolution.

He then called over our server, who claimed she only took our food order and not our drink order, which was untrue. We had ordered everything with her, and she later admitted she didn’t remember. I pointed out that nearly an hour had passed without our drinks. She then mentioned that she had gone on break after taking our order, which raised the question of whether she checks on her guests to ensure they are being attended to. She had no answer.

Ultimately, the manager issued a refund, but after an hour and a half, we still did not receive our drinks. This situation could have been...

I will start off by thanking Issa for creating a space for people of color who can comfortably congregate. That deserves its own praise. Now to get to the actual review: I went on a a Sunday evening close to opening. I read previous reviews about long lines and simply refused to wait [in line for anything]. At 6pm on a Sunday, myself and another group was able to walk up without a line. Security was nice and after a brief security screen, we were already at the rooftop. The rooftop was nicely decorated; it gave Arts District vibes. I like how it was enclosed, so you weren’t subject to the outside elements. We ordered 2 alcoholic drinks (up I the sky and loose ends) and 1 non alcoholic (lucky charms) just to get a variety. Just as other posts stated, the drinks were lackluster. Too much juice and too sweet. The mixologist really should go back and redesign these drinks. I KNOW mezcal. ‘Up in the sky’ was just not balanced at all. Then we ordered the chicken quesadilla, carna asada tacos and chips and guacamole. The guacamole desperately needed lime and pico. No one at the table fished the carne asada tacos as it was overcooked. I personally didn’t like the chicken quesadilla, but my 2 friends did, so I’ll leave that one alone. After spending only 1 hr, the host came and asked if we can leave the table bc there was another reservation. We spent about $160, and just at 1 hr, already asked to leave? I think a better expectation is 90 minutes at the table . I would NEVER wait in a line for this, nor do I think this is just a random spot to pop up at. There are much better places with better experiences DTLA; or maybe this place just needs a little more tweaking. I’d visit again in a few months to see if there’s any progress, but would otherwise recommend just bringing a friend new to LA here. I don’t see the appeal of just simply coming back. The experience was a solid 3 start. Not bad, but not...

I came to Lost—and they lost me. FOREVER !

They will never find me again.

The only person who truly deserves respect in that entire building is Kayla, the bathroom attendant. An absolute angel. I accidentally left my phone in the bathroom—she held onto it and returned it to me without hesitation. We had a moment of real human kindness. She’s a gem. She deserves everything good. If anyone should be the face of that place, it’s her. Keep her forever.

The host? Great vibe. Solid energy. Made me feel welcome. Specifically the gay guy. Not the girl. The server? Decent. Nothing to complain about. SECURITY- BIG ISSUE. I’d advise on an entire review of entire security staff. The manager? Hmm. Somewhat okay, but could definitely use a few courses in emotional intelligence and guest recovery. I was disrespected at your establishment and didn’t even receive a real apology. A free drink? That doesn’t erase the vibe I had to sit with all night. You don’t get to mistreat people and then casually patch it with alcohol. I’m a king, not a tab to comp.

So yes—maybe there were a few attempts to make it right. But they fell short. And when it comes to me, falling short is not an option.

You don’t get a second chance at respect.

So, again.I came to Lost. And you lost me.

Save your money. And your time. Don’t bring your friends. Especially if you are a person of color and bring your business elsewhere.

Btw the reason the were trying to deny me entry even after i had a table upstairs and only had 1 weak drink, 1 Red Bull and a water. Was because apparently I was stumbling and was intoxicated

that was thier excuse. I was accused of being intoxicated....
