I recently had the pleasure of dining at Meraki Greek Bistro, and I am thrilled to share my experience at this exceptional eatery. From the moment I entered, I was transported to the beautiful shores of Greece. The warm, inviting atmosphere, combined with the incredibly authentic and delicious cuisine, made for an unforgettable dining experience.
The decor at Meraki Greek Bistro is both cozy and elegant, with a perfect blend of traditional Greek elements and modern design. Soft lighting, earthy tones, and a combination of rustic wooden furniture and vibrant Mediterranean colors create an ambiance that is at once welcoming and sophisticated. The outdoor seating area, complete with olive trees and twinkling fairy lights, adds a magical touch to the dining experience.
What truly sets Meraki Greek Bistro apart, however, is its spectacular food. The menu is a tantalizing journey through Greek cuisine, featuring a wide variety of dishes that cater to different tastes and dietary preferences. From mouthwatering appetizers like tzatziki and saganaki to hearty mains such as moussaka and souvlaki, each dish is expertly crafted to showcase the rich flavors and textures of Greek cooking.
I started my meal with the dolmades—tender grape leaves stuffed with a savory blend of rice, herbs, and spices. The dish was impeccably presented and bursting with flavor, setting the tone for the rest of the meal. For the main course, I indulged in the grilled octopus, which was cooked to perfection: tender and succulent with just the right amount of char. Paired with a refreshing Greek salad and a side of lemony roasted potatoes, it was the epitome of a well-balanced, satisfying meal.
The service at Meraki Greek Bistro was just as impressive as the food. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, making me feel like a cherished guest. They were more than happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions about the menu, ensuring that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect.
No meal at Meraki Greek Bistro would be complete without trying their heavenly desserts. I opted for the baklava, a delectable pastry layered with honey-soaked phyllo and crunchy walnuts. It was the perfect ending to an already incredible meal, leaving me with a sweet taste of Greece that lingered long after I left the restaurant.
Meraki Greek Bistro is, without a doubt, a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an authentic and delightful Greek dining experience. The restaurant's commitment to using high-quality ingredients, coupled with its impeccable service and enchanting atmosphere, ensures that every guest leaves with a satisfied palate and a...
Read moreI really wanted to love Meraki Greek Bistro. Unfortunately, the food fell short considering the price point.
We were in the Miami area on a Monday late afternoon with my in-laws and decided to grab an early dinner. We opted for Meraki Greek Bistro because they were part of inKind. We had inKind credit we wanted to use. Meraki has been on my list for a while as we try to check out all of the Mediterranean spots in town. We love Mediterranean food.
The space, vibe and decor is pretty on point and reminds us of Santorini, which is where we went for our honeymoon. It takes you to another place and they thought of all the details that compliment the space. Love the ambiance!
We sat inside as it was a bit humid outdoors. I think fans outside would be nice and we would have chosen to sit out there otherwise. Alexia was our server and she was wonderful, very friendly and attentive. Always checked in on us.
This is everything we ordered:
• Blue Odyssey $16 • Freddo-Tini $17 • Minoan Mule $16 • Creta Seafood w/linguine $32 • Goat Cheese & Beet Salad $16 • Lamb Chops $38 • Mezes & Trio $22 • Roasted Lamb $28.00 • Seared Scallops w/linguine $32
Cocktails and Mezes & Trio was great. It was the main dishes that was a disappointment. I got the Seared Scallops with linguine pasta. Hubby got the Lamb Chops with feta cheese fries. As soon as my scallops came out, I could tell it was going to disappoint. You can just tell as it wasn’t freshly grilled/seared and not juicy. I try to get scallops when dining out as they always have that perfect sear. This was not it. I dug my fork in and right away felt like these were frozen scallops that were just overcooked. I should have returned it but didn’t want to be that person. Hubby’s $38 lamb chops were just ok and dry.
Maybe it was an off day or maybe not. I would give the restaurant vibe and service 5 stars across the board. But the food was disappointing, even with the inKind discount and so pricey for what we got. I gave the food 3 stars. Our dinner before the inKind discount and before tip was a whopping $234!!!
$234.36 total - $106.95 inKind credit used = $127.41 + $43.40 tip = $170.81 total paid after discounts & tip. Honestly, the price point did not justify the quality. Without the discount, we would have paid $281 with tip.
I really wish we loved everything more as the ambiance was EVERYTHING! Maybe this was an off day but the experience wasn’t what...
Read moreVery Bad Experience! I went to lunch Wednesday at 2 pm. The restaurant was hot and there were hardly any people there. Service was super slow (I had to get up from the table and go to the counter 4 times during the meal.) I ordered the lamb kabob and my friend ordered the shrimp saganaki. After waiting about half an hour for the food I finally got a thick pita with a small ground meat patty, the size of a finger, inside (like a small Cuban croquette) I was SHOCKED. Really, I was shocked!!! I asked the waiter if there had been a mistake and he answered that No, that was what they called a "kabob." He explained that a Gyro sandwich was made with sliced meat & a kabob with ground meat. I was hungry and decided to try it. Big Mistake! It was horrible, even the fries were bad. My friends dish was just as bad. She had asked the waiter about how many shrimps came in the dish, and he had answered that depending on size, it was usually about nine. Well, she got five, which didn't really matter as she was unable to eat them; they were that tough, and the heavy tomato sauce they were hidden under was simply inedible. As we asked for the check, I again questioned the waiter about the 'kabob.' He finally admitted that a kabob should be grilled pieces of meat on a skewer and not the tiny hamburger I got. He offered to talk to the chef and bring me a dessert which I declined. I would have taken a discount but he charged us full price for the food. The next time we go to the Baptist Health Diagnostic Imaging, we will definitely STAY AWAY...
