Drink Wisconsinbly Pub — Restaurant in Milwaukee

Cool bar, great selection of beverages including their own canned old fashioneds! They had 3 separate bar areas to go to which was nice and offered pretty much the same selection everywhere including a delicious brandy slush! Large Windows offered a nice natural light, not sure if they opened in summer. They had a cool deal where you could get a shirt, shot and beer for $28 which seemed great, but the beer was limited to 2 choices and the shot was just the house Brandy- which was Delicious, but not everyone in the group liked brandy- still a cool offer and a pretty good price. A few down sides were that it was a little cramped by the 2 dart boards with people cutting through the game being right next to the bar and tables. Also there's was only enough darts for one board- not a huge deal but realized after we put money in and had to Wait 40 minutes for another group to finish, luckily we weren't in a hurry. The men's bathroom only had 1 stall and 1 urinal which didn't seem like much for how large the bar was. I didn't even realize they offered food there if they did, I didn't see a menu anywhere. This bar was definitely unique, the brand is awesome, great concept, and I'll go back...

I was looking forward to visiting this place for so long. As a native sconnie it sounded like a perfect place to take friends from MI while in town. Wow was I wrong!! Two bartenders sitting on stools behind a bar serving ONLY the people that are sitting at it, no one says boo when you come in and sit at the first table...ever. one friend attempts to go use the bathroom while we wait for the service that never happens to discover it is out of order. I make eye contact with one of the bartenders and ask if they are coming to the table, headshake no, food? again headshake no. If your going to run a bar for the 10 or so people that seemed to be friends of the bartenders, perhaps change the name of the place. This isn't the Wisconsin I know... Thankfully we only had to walk a block away to get true Wisconsin...

I wanted to love this place. But I don't. I'm a sucker for a good Bloody Mary so I had high expectations after the pictures I've seen and the reviews I've heard...I found their bloody mary disgusting. First off it tasted like a pine tree, I don't know what the heck happened to the pickle that was in it, it was squishy as though it had been frozen and thawed. The mix was just so-so. I found myself wanting a Sobelmans Bloody Mary and I hate Sobelmans Bloody Mary.

Food was decent. I was with people who got a burger, it was tasty. I got the black peppercorn poutine which was actually pretty good I just wish it had more gravy. For dessert we went with the cake or brownies that had ice cream, caramel sauce and bacon that was quite delicious.

I wouldn't go out of my way to stop by there again but maybe if I was...
