Ordered the Athenian chicken through chow down. Said it would be ready roughly around 11:15. Got to the restaurant at 11:20 and it wasn't even in the process of being made yet. Whatever. I can wait. But that soon became overbearing as the atmosphere was pretty lame, with owner/operators talking about silk shirts and Gucci shoes and getting financial aid for the upcoming semester. 11:30ish rolls around and they hand me a bag of food. When I get home and opened the food boxes I find a burger, a beef tip (?) gyro, and three garlic fries. The amount of food was considerable to what I originally ordered so I wasn't that bummed out. However, the gyro and burger were coated with kraft cheese singles (I'm pretty sure). And both of the meats were fairly sketch. No way could I eat more than a couple of bites out of that burger. The 'beef' was so dry and the bun to meat ratio was too over powering. Not even positive what was in the gyro as far as meat wise, may have been lamb? Don't expect anything fresh at this place. If you want Greek fast food, make your way to gyro...

May 2022: Brought our entire family from out of town to Ouzo for a celebration dinner post graduation. No better value, climate, quality around. Service, as usual, impeccable. This is a family owned restaurant where above and beyond is all that is done. Food is always, served fresh, hot and delicious. Can't say enough about Frank and the entire team. Treat yourself to Ouzo Cafe!

Best Greek food in the state! My son introduced me to Ouzo Cafe after enjoying a 5 star dinner. He and I visited for lunch and ordered a variety of menu items including appetizer, sandwich and sides. Each and every item was served promptly, hot and delicious. The server was absolutely top notch. Owner, Frank, went above and beyond every call to ensure a perfect experience. Environment was clean and welcoming with more than adequate room for social distancing. Everybody at the Cafe was on their game. The food is far above the caliber one would expect from a small storefront restaurant. You won't be disappointed! Try it and bring a friend. ...

Saturday night the whole place to oirselves. Complementary tzatziki was excellent. We had lamb chops- tender tasty meat - this was by far the best of 3. Side salad was fresh, very lemony dressing on the side. Lamb shank, smothered in tomato sauce, not bad, but kinda watery. beef shishkebob - very nice, tender in spite of being well done (exactly what I asked for). Everything came with VERY lemony baked? Boiled? Potatoes and rice with grated feta. Side veggies were very good too. Plenty tomatoes included. What would I change? Make everythig less 'zesty', lose the tomatoes, give the shank a crust and serve the sauce on the side or reduce it, it's way too watery and tomatoey. That is, easy on the lemon and tomatoes. Mediterranean food in my experience is sweeter. Portions were more than satisfying but taste was less than perfect for my buds. This is why I took off one star. Their website lists cheaper prices by quite a few $ and needs updated. In all, a...

We had dinner at Ouzo Cafe in Milwaukee for the first time, and it was an unforgettable experience! The service was exceptional, and the food was absolutely out of this world. It took me right back to my days living in Greece. We visited for my birthday the other night, and despite the place being quiet, it had such a clean, charming atmosphere. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. To start, we had the chicken skewers, and the sauce was simply divine. For the main course, my husband had the salmon with rice pilaf, while I went with the gyro bacon wrap. My taste buds haven't been this happy in a long time! To top it off, we were treated to a house-made Greek baklava for dessert, and it was phenomenal. I can't believe we've lived here so long without knowing about this gem! If you miss the flavors of Greece, Ouzo Cafe is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back!

We stopped in one night for dinner, the restaurant wasn't busy, which was expected for a weekday night. The café has plenty of tables and a little bar area, and lots of Greek décor and videos to transport you to Greece. The servers were very attentive and pleasant. We ordered the Keftedes for an appetizer, they were so delicious! Well seasoned and the perfect crispy shell with soft pita bread. We also ordered the Zeus and the Lemon Baked Salmon. The Zeus was well seasoned and included lamb, pork, and beef in a pita. The Lemon Baked Salmon was a little to lemony for my taste but still good, I just wish I had something to cut the lemon flavor a little bit. Overall, the food and drinks were good, and would be back to try more. I did find the prices a little high for some items, including the drinks, some more worth it than others.

We came to Milwaukee for a volleyball tournament and we’re looking for a nice quiet place to eat after a very noisy and hectic day. We came across Ouzo Cafe and decided to try it. It was everything I needed. The first thing we noticed was the ambiance. They had live traditional Greek music that was perfect to make you feel at home without being overwhelming. The waitress, Desiree was welcoming, helpful, and dedicated- best service. The beef souvlakia and the chicken souvlaki were delicious. We even got to meet the chef, Frank Pappas. His passion and desire to make excellent food is obvious I highly recommend this little gem.
