Hungry Howie's Pizza — Restaurant in Myrtle Beach

Horrible place, when calling them theyhad an attitude as though we were bothering them! The manger Kristina that I spoke with because they messed our order up not once but TWICE! Over charged us and would not refund us for the food we didn’t order! Kristina hung up in my face and was very rude she advised that her general manager KAYLA told her to let us know we will not be refunded. The delivery guy even called (the manager) KRISTINA off his phone, placed her on speak phone so we could communicate the issue and she advised she will not refund the money because she knows for a fact what we ordered! We showed the delivery guy the order we placed which was typed in notes on an iPhone which has the date and time it was saved. I would NEVER spend a dime in this place! I would never recommend my dog to eat here! They don’t even deserve a star! The fact that these so called managers and general managers can talk and treat ppl the way they do is horrible. They could careless that they over charged us for what we didn’t even order and even stopped the delivery guy before he left to let him know our order was wrong! And he said we had to call the store and they will fix the order and come back out, we had already waited an hour, then they came back again still with the wrong food! This company was displayed all over the hotel we stayed in now I am starting to question the hotel as well! I would NEVER EVEN LOOK AT THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN! Then I look at the reviews and some ppl are saying the same thing about this KAYLA lady! Why is she still there? If she is treating y’all customers unfairly and ppl are speaking about it! Where is the action? This little automated response? What do you think keep businesses s running CUSTOMERS!!...

Let me start by saying hungry howies is my favorite pizza chain. However this hungry howies location is plagued with horrible management. I ordered online and when I arrived there was a line and no one was coming to the counter. 30 minutes later and two parties ahead of me had already walked out I started yelling asking if anyone is working the front counter because I can see all five of the workers in the back just avoiding the front as pizzas pile up in the warmers. Your disgraceful manager walks over and blames the wait on the workers not speaking English. If that’s the case then the workers that do speak English which he clearly did as he was a white older man I think his name was Jeremy needs to be working the front. He then told my pizza was not ready when i was staring at my receipt in the case That was sitting there for 15 mins. He then tries to cover his lie up and I called him a moron because he was acting like one. He then chased me out the store and threatened my life over a pizza. The guy is a liability and it was impossible to get any info on his superiors as I called back many times to no avail. Luckily i took the high road and walked away but anyone else would have knocked him out the way he was speaking to me. Long story short hungry howies and their management team; if your going to hire foreigners, staff accordingly and delegate the correct jobs to their capabilities. If we only have one English speaking person then THAT PERSON NEEDS TO BE AT THE COUNTER. Horrible leadership at this store and I’ll never order again. Dominos is across the street and convenient to where I live so I guess I will go...

I’m giving out 5 cause overall service, time to cook, and flavor was combined to make for a very good dining experience!

We stopped in around 5:15pm on a Friday. We were immediately able to place our order, and told it would be 20 mins. There’s a gift shop next door so to pass the time we went there. Pizza was ready in 15 mins. We ordered XL sausage & pepperoni, small bacon cheeseburger, and Howie’s cinnamon bread.

Sausage & Pepperoni: excellent size! Big pieces! The flavor is VERY similar to something but I just can’t put my finger on it! Maybe a mix between Domino’s and Godfathers. I don’t know. But it was tasty! Crust is between regular and pan for thickness. I thought it was just right. Good flavor on the sauce and cheese and a good amount of meat. I enjoyed it a lot! (Ate 3 pieces, saving rest for later.

Bacon cheeseburger: this was my wife’s choice and she says “this is my new 2nd favorite pizza!” That’s next to Toffino’s. So that’s impressive. Small was a good size for her to have a couple pieces and have some for tomorrow. Good amount of meat. Not even sure if it had sauce. Either way, it was good!

Howie’s cinnamon bread: mmmmmmmm. Very similar to Pizza Hut’s cinnamon dessert bread sticks. Very soft, great flavor, icing just pushes it over the top. Delightful!

Again, a great experience from start to finish. And we’ll definitely work Howie’s into our Pizza...
