The worst experience I have ever had at a bar. I attended on November 4th, 2023. The bouncers were extremely aggressive in searching the people I was with which should have been our first sign that this establishment does not know how to control its security. It was extremely crowded at the time I arrived around 12am, this was my first time in Nashville and I was excited to see the most raved about bars. While walking to the bathroom it was packed near the line to go upstairs, as I was walking I accidentally elbowed the person behind me. As I went to turn around to apologize I was forcefully grabbed on my left arm with the complete strength of a grown man. This man was not dressed in any security gear and was wearing normal clothing. I apologized to him and asked him to please remove himself from my arm. He refused and told me that I had elbowed him, which I acknowledged and restated that it was an accident and very crowded. My boyfriend then approached and asked the man to remove himself from my arm, (he had not yet stated he was security and had no identifying factors). The man then told my boyfriend he was "the head of security" while still having a death grip on my arm. He told us we must leave the bar and escorted us all the way out. While we were waiting for our friends he reproached us and I told him that he grabbed me very forcefully which he responded that "he knows". He stated he did not care if it was an accident and he would not apologize for being so rough with me. He seemed like he wanted a problem as he followed us all the way in to the street. This seemed like a complete power trip. I have worked at a bar in a very crowded college town and never witnessed our staff treat women with such disrespect. This bar completely ruined my impression of Nashville. Terrible place...
Read moreSmall but hoppin. We went for a stroll down Broadway before seeing Little Big Town. We had dinner here at Dierks'. Hubby had the brisket sandwich and I ordered the burger. I wanted to try his Row94 whiskey but they were out! Very disappointed. The bands were good and though the bathroom was small it was clean with an attendant. We left and wanted to go to couple more spots on Broadway before our show. By the time we got to our next bar, I noticed I started to feel sick to my stomach. I felt like that the rest of the evening even through our concert (where I didn't even have a drink, I got a ginger ale to try to help), through the night and into the next morning. The whole next day I still felt bad and we kept having to come back to our hotel for "reasons". We just got home and I looked up the menu for my curiosity. I hadn't brought my reading glasses on our trip and my husband had to make sure that there was nothing on the burger that I would be allergic to, which there wasn't. I noticed on the menu that only the burgers had an asterix, which I find odd. At the bottom it literally says that these items are "served raw or undercooked" not that they may be but that they are! I've never seen that on a menu before. Thinking back I was not asked how I wanted my burger cooked so I assumed that it would be served well done. Now that I have seen this, and having experienced what I can only assume was food poisoning, I will not be ordering the burger from here again. The lighting was dim and it has BBQ sauce on it so it was difficult to tell the temperature. I do clearly recall looking for pink but couldn't see. I will say it was not raw. I do remember thinking that it was soft. I won't be...
Read moreThe entertainment was great, but the overall experience was not. To start out, the bathroom was dirty and needed attention. Next, when the waitress took our order I asked for water with my meal (it was hot out and we'd been walking all afternoon) and the waitress brought me out a little plastic cup of water. I asked her for a large glass of water and she appeared annoyed, and the service from that point went down hill from there. She was not friendly at all. I ordered a patty melt, (well done) with sweet potato fries. The fries were cold when they arrived and some of them tasted stale like they had been sitting a while so I asked for fresh sweet potatoes fries and they never came. I asked a couple of times about them during our meal (approximately 30 minutes after the food arrived) and every time I was told, (once by the waitress, and once by a supervisor) they were still working on them and they weren't sure what was taking so long. Meanwhile, the patty melt was pink (not well done), and it didn't have carmelized onions on it? The rye bread was not fried, but was slightly toasted with no butter on the bread. I asked the supervisor about it when she came over and I was told they make them different every where you go. In my 45 years I've never seen a patty melt cooked that way. I never write negative reviews and I am not a picky customer! But this experience was really upsetting and frustrating to me because I was left feeling like i was inconveniencing them. I'm sure this is not typical but some definite changes could be made! I don't think I'll go back to eat there, maybe a beer and music perhaps? P.S. I love Deirks Bentley, so sorry Deirks!! I do love our Flag on...
