I'm sorry but this was majorly a big disappointment, I truly never write bad reviews but Lebanese food is one of my favorites and this is not a proper representation of the countries gastronomy. I don't mean to sound pretentious, this is just my opinion as a 35 year old person who loves Lebanese food since I was a child. The kibe was 80% though and 20% Meat when it should be the opposite, plus it had a weird clove spice intense flavor which is not normal, however the dough was very crispy in the outside. The falafel was spicy which its not supposed to be, and it was yellow instead of green which means they are using more chickpeas than lentils to make it cheaper. The kafta which is normally my favorite was tasteless and lacked salt, when this is supposed to be seasoned ground beef. I order a lot for the first time because I was so excited to taste their food, but although they asked if any allergies and I mentioned I'm allergic to milk, they topped my shawarma Meat with yogurt sauce so I couldn't even try it and they added 3 sides of yogurt sauce. The best and really tasted good was what I ordered as a non classic dish which is the kale tabouhle with quinoa instead of parsley and wheat. The 2 starts are for cleanliness and presentation, although the packaging and bags were excessive, the presentation was very nice and clean. And the person on the phone...

This is proper middle eastern food, prepared fresh infront of your eyes, in a hygenic manner, and it is Halal. Above everything, their food tastes absolutely amazing. Have tried all their wraps, they are authentic and very filling due to the size. Their pita chips are just irresistibly tasty, and would recommend trying all their variations. If you are a Humus, Mottable, or Babagonosh fan, then do yourself a favour and pick it from this store instead of the whole foods/grocery stores. Yes the price of their wraps will be doubled of what you get from a Halal cart in the city, but then the taste here is authentic, and not the universally consistent taste of NYC Halal Carts. Its a long shop/restaurant so they do have some seating capacity as well. Close to touristy part of times square, as well as Penn station. You can call the Super Friendly and Super Nice staff here, who can have the food ready for you, if you want to grab it before you take an Amtrak from Penn Station or hop onto a Bolt Bus (both located a few minute walk away). If you have read this till here, then just go and give...

We needed a quick dinner before watching Aladdin and I found Balade - Your Way. It was nearby, and seemed relatively healthy, so it seemed like a good option. It was a Wednesday at around 6 pm and it was pouring. There were quite a few delivery orders but it seems like it would be a more popular lunch spot. I did the beef shawarma bowl. Although it wasn’t really beef shawarma. It was more like dry overcooked strips of cheap steak. The rest of the ingredients of the bowl were good though. You can select as many as you want. I went with the rice vermicelli base, and added pretty much all of the toppings they had, except for olives and feta. Hubby had double protein - shish tawook (chargrilled chicken) and lamb kebab. The chicken was also very dry. Lamb was only a little bit dry, so this was the best one. Maybe it’s better during lunch hours, since there would be more turnover. Or maybe it’s better to stick to the vegetarian proteins. Either way, I won’t be back to find out.

I ordered a takeout: zaatar manakish (thyme with sesame seeds) with tomatoes and mint. Pretty tasty! The dough is not too thick and not too thin, just about right. I recommend you try this with labneh (strained yogurt). I also sampled the sfeeha, samboosek, falafel, and spinach pie (ftayer). I recommend going for the samboosek and sfeeha, with a lemon squeeze on top. They were absolutely delicious. The ftayer was ok, and while the falafel is not like the Lebanese version, it's not bad either. Finally, I tried the fattouch and grape leaves. The fattouch comes with olive oil / lemon/ molasses pomegranate dressing (yummy!) while the grape leaves are stuffed with rice and tomatoes. The food is excellent here, if you want real Lebanese food, this place will not disappoint.
