Firstly: I ordered a double dewars (scotch) neat. Your (short female blonde) Bartender named Jasmine poured a drink over ice, when I communicated to her ( Jasmine ) that I asked for it to be neat, she just strain The same drink. Sally ( The manager )comes over and asked me what’s the problem, I start communicating to Sally and then Jasmine puts her hands up To imply I’m being a crybaby! she She did remake the drink but she remade it and started giving me attitude and then slides my drink off of his napkin approximately four or five inches ( Where is slash out of the glass and made a mess. I didn’t ask why are you touching my drink. I’m responsible for paying For this drink and I don’t expect anyone to touch a drink after it’s served to me especially in anger and in malice! Sally (did try to D escalate the situation unfortunately Jasmine did not give her the respect or even the dignity of being her superior in this institution. Sally told Jasmine to go back to work Jasmine said : no I want to hear what he has to say. I said how are you judge or jury, I am the consumer. So the manager Sally thought the best thing would be to move me from the bar into a booth so now, I’m sitting isolated when I came to a bar to be at a bar And socialize with other people sitting at the bar. I’m the punish ( isolated ) like a bad child and Jasmine gets to do whatever she wants with no regard for respect for...
Read moreCasual dining spot/bar conveniently located at Penn Station so that you can grab a bite or quick drink ahead of your scheduled travel time. My friend and I came here for appetizers and cocktails before I had to catch my train.
We were seated at one of the mini tables for two and when we asked for a booth, the server denied our request. Then after she accidentally spilled one of our drinks on our table, we asked again politely to be seated at the empty booth across from us, and we had to get three rounds of approvals before they finally gave in. This is the reason for knocking off a star.
For appetizers, we ordered the vegetarian nachos and mozzarella sticks. Everything tasted fine and the food came out pretty quickly. For drinks, we ordered a gin fizz and a Manhattan. Both were sufficiently strong and not too sweet.
The atmosphere is very chill and the Christmas decorations added a nice touch but the music is just too loud for my taste.
Big plus is that their restrooms are immaculate—the cleanest I’ve seen at a NY sports bar.
All in all, I recommend coming to this restaurant if you have a reason to be waiting at Penn Station, for the speedy service, decent...
Read moreHappy to give five stars! I have been reviewing restaurants in Italy for six weeks and arriving back to New York is always a shock and it’s easy to get down about a lot of the shortcomings and chaos of the city abs the station but I had luggage and a while to wait for my train and finally stopped in. I have to say it was an utterly pleasant experience. The staff was so friendly and kind—they seemed like they enjoyed their jobs, their customers, and each other. The restaurant itself, including the bathroom, was very, very clean, the food was hot and quick (not not too quick!) and it was just an overall wonderful welcome back to the city. I’m so glad after all these years I finally gave it a try and now I will make it a point to give myself more time so I can stop here. All of this is a sign of good management, for which I complimented Sally, the manager this evening. The food—the boneless Buffalo wings were crisp with white meat and a tasty tangy sauce and a generous amount of bleu cheese, the waffle friend were made of real potato and they were hot and crisp and the cheesecake with raspberry Sri.3 was just as...
