UPDATE: It looks like outdoor dining is coming to the Grafton!! I have to say that this was one of the first businesses to close down in the areaābefore it was even requiredāout of societal responsibility. This behavior was admirable to say the least. This spot will always have my business not just for the reasons below (prior reviews) but also for the reasons listed above. They forfeited potential profits for public safety before even required. Read that sentence again and compare it to other businesses throughout the city. Canāt say that for most. Grafton, you are truly one of a kind!
SO after coming here for the entire NFL season, I thought it was time to update my review. This spot is AMAZING. Always a good time. The bartenders are superb and engaging as well, especially David. And Iām not just saying that because we share the best name. One time, a patron wanted to watch a sport game that was not onāand couldnāt be on due to demand for other gamesāso he let them watch it from his phone! I feel as though these random acts of kindness are hard to come by in nyc and speaks volumes. Bartenders Paul and Amber are great too.
Anyway, check this place out. My favorite spot!
Old review below: Your average sports bar! But like really above average haha. Clean, friendly staff and bartenders, a plethora of tvās with all games your heart can desire, and decent amount of seating. Itās never too full if that makes sense. Go here often for football games. Would definitely recommend checking it out. Food is great! Everything is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I lived anywhere in Manhattan this would be my local pub! Or if I'm meeting someone in future in the city I will meet them here! We'd a really unforgettably good time in this wonderful place. We were visiting our cousin in the neighbourhood who insisted we visit this charming pub. It's his local and he said we would really enjoy ourselves. We actually only had a couple of hours to spend in NYC and this is where we spent them - such a cosy spot in town on a cold day! The welcome was warm, the company was first rate, the fun was fantastic. The Guinness was excellent, the conversation wide ranging, the staff were friendly, witty & knowledgeable. I especially like that it was easy to talk without loud music or TV commentary blasting which can happen in many places though the playlist was terrific feelgood tunes at a great level! We heard the snacks are great too but as we were going to dinner we didn't avail of them this time. Hmm we had such a good time we had to scramble for our dinner engagement as we'd lost track of time! We look forward to our next visit, keep doing what you're doing at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWomen/poc/queer individuals be wary: Me and my two friends went here last night and our waiter (man bun around 10-11pm) was weirdly at best condescending, and at worst hostile to us. He repeated back questions we asked in a condescending manner, for example āDoes the burger come with anything?ā āHmm let me think, what could a burger come with. It comes with friesā which he did for all our orders. Maybe we should have guessed because it was a sports bar filled with mostly (white seemingly straight) men that someone would have an issue but this is NYC and pride month haha. My group was very uncomfortable the whole night and was unsure what we did to provoke the waiter other than wanting to eat here. Not sure if itās because of our gender/race/orientation although it could be, or a combination of all three. I really hope thatās not the case...
