Still can't believe I found this gem! The biggest antique mall I've ever been to. A completely stunning array of wares from many different sellers at many different pricepoints. I found some amazing deals. The staff were super chill. I see a lot of reviews of people getting upset that the staff don't dote on them hand and foot and make forced small talk but as an autistic person who has also worked customer service for years, no greeting isn't something I took personally and I still felt very welcomed. They were happy to check my bags and answer my questions when engaged. We were even humming and singing some classic beloved tunes together when they came on, it was pretty cool. Now Cheap Frills in the back is where you wanna go if you have extremely good taste in eccentric & vintage fashion. Their costume and coat section in particular was very impressive. There's some pretty extensive specialized gear in some of the stalls definitely worth checking out. I have to make a return trip, I didn't have the time to comb through the entire place. They gave about a 5-10 minute warning then the lights started going off. It was kinda spooky and cool feeling walking around a half lit antique mall finding your way through the maze to the entrance. They pretty much have to do this you really lose track of time in there it's like a capsule where time stands still and you could peruse for hours and it would feel like minutes. It has that special quality and feel to it. Also happened to talk to some lovely people in the checkout line who were huge fans of the film I got (this place has pretty big VHS section, and as a collector I enjoyed that) Overall, I would definitely return and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came in with my well behaved child. 2 ladies at the front. I said hello...but no response. Just staring, no smile, nothing.
One of the ladies seemed to be following us...made it really awkward and unpleasant. She was always just around the corner with her unwelcoming expression.
Also, holy heck the prices were ridiculous. So much junk in there for twice the price I could buy new elsewhere. I was looking at picture frames, paintings and home decor. So much of it is dented, chipped, etc...and some of these items run for $100s of dollars. I saw a wooden dented statue that was in bad shape and thought I could rehab it. It was $475. LOLOLOLOL I wouldn't have paid more than $40 bucks for how bad of shape it was in. They need to know the difference between vintage items and old junk found in the garage. Or they need to rehab items like some shops to do, in order to get some of these prices they're asking.
I'm a seasoned thrifter and this place is an absolute no go.
No hospitality with terrible selection and prices.
After reading other reviews, to see if I was the only one having this experience....seems like I'm not alone. Teach retail hospitality...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere are alot of shops like this throughout Lincoln County were you can be treated with proper customer service or you can come here and get treated like you are an annoyance, bothering them trying to spend your money. I have also found at ANY of their competitors you can recieve help if you are looking for something particular, rather than have a rude woman roll her eyes at you and start turning lights off a full half hour before closing (god forbid allowing a paying customer to finish up giving them money). Well they must be pleased I dropped my basket and paid them for nothing. I will be sure to leave glowing reviews for shops of this nature that do know what they're doing...
