Sportsbook Cheesesteaks & Wings — Restaurant in North Charleston

I'm typically not one to leave such s bad review but man oh man is it deserving. We sat ourselves as the sign told us to do. Waited and waited so that was the 1st thing that rubbed me the wrong way. Got our drink order and I put in an app order since i didn't see things happening quickly and we were hungry. a good while later we got our drinks. Then followed our app(pretzels with"cheese"). It was dropped on the table then she walked away. Normally you'd ask the table if their ready to order. Nope that didn't happen. Watched the server walk around and change tvs, and stand at the bar on her phone. Not just a quick check of her phone she stood there for a good min on it meanwhile none of the tables are checked on and we still hadn't put our in. Got halfway through one of the pretzels and the dog food looking cheese and there was a rock 🪨 inside the pretzel! That was it for us. We were given an apology and that they'd only charge us for half of the app. We wanted to pay for the drinks and go but thankfully there was no charge for anything. I didn't mind paying for our drinks but there was no way I was paying for anything else. Just a really bad experience all around. Service definitely needs to be looked into cause it was pretty bad. I'd understand if the place was busy but it was not at all. You'd think you'd want to make money being a server but I guess they are paid enough there to not care about customer service at all. Being a bartender/server myself i couldn't imagine ignoring my tables like I witnessed. Sad I have to make such a post cause there's already so much negativity in the world but it was completely...

First time visiting this location. Our waitress was very sweet and none of my issues were related to them.

The restaurant is tucked into a rapidly growing area in a strip mall. However, walking into the seat-yourself establishment, it almost felt as if I was stepping into a seedy back alley. The pub was extremely loud, so loud in fact, that I had trouble hearing our waitress. It wasn't a regular "sports pub loud" that catered to music and sports; instead, it was a hodgepodge of volume set atypically loud for no reason. Next, the cleanliness of the establishment. Our table was so nasty, it looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a while. I thought, surely we should move to another table, they can't all be bad. So, we moved. I ended up cleaning it using wet wipes.

Finally, we ordered food; however, before we began telling the waitress our order, she stopped us mid-sentence and said, "We can only do fried foods." Fine, I ordered 6 wings. I don't mind telling you that I am a chicken wing connoisseur, lol. So, I was excited to try the wings. The overall presentation was nice, the wings looked crispy, and the plate had garnish, celery, and had the "good" ranch. I. Was. Ready. The first wing, I thought was a little tough. I kept chewing and chewing - and chewing. Finally, I spat it out and decided to try another one. I didn't make it past two wings. But all was not lost, I asked for a cup of ice to-go and it was the good ice! A win is a win. We left. I will most likely not...

I used to rate this place 5 stars across the board. It was one of my go-to spots in Charleston, especially for watching UFC fights. Unfortunately, something has changed over the past few years. The quality of the food has noticeably declined, and the menu has been changed so many times that it’s hard to keep up—it no longer feels consistent or well thought out.

The service has also become a major issue. I won’t name anyone, but the last three times I visited, my server disappeared for over 30 minutes at a time. Drinks sat empty for what felt like forever, and food service was unreasonably delayed. On my most recent visit, I ordered just fries and boneless wings. Guests who arrived after me—and ordered more—were served well before I was. It felt like my server just wasn’t attentive.

Over the course of 3.5 hours, our server checked on us only three times, refilled our drinks once, and came by to drop off the check. That’s not acceptable service, especially for a place that used to pride itself on being among the best in town.

On a positive note, I did notice another server—a younger guy with a slim build and dreads—who was working very efficiently. He took care of his tables with attention and professionalism. I wish he had been our server.

My intention with this review isn’t to bash the establishment, but to bring attention to concerns that could be addressed by management. I genuinely hope this place can return to the level of excellence...
