Ive been on vacation in OC for a few days now, and every time I come I’m always excited for OC NJ coffee. Ive been buying coffee all week from their 9th and boardwalk location. I’ve bought two bags and many cups since being here. Today I went in like normal to grab my morning cup and the woman tells me there is a $5 minimum. I tried to explain to her that I bought a cup just the morning before for $3.36 and used my card and she was just cold and I wasn’t able to purchase my cup of coffee like the morning before. I called to inquired about how I could be charged the day before but not today and she said “people do it all the time and let people pay on card”. So if it’s a rule why is it only followed sometimes? It was really an embarrassing and uncomfortable experience this morning and I sadly do not think I’ll be returning. It’s always pretty crowded in here, but the service is kind and helpful. The prices are high, but not insane. They have some muffins and cake slices. The lemon loaf is great. There’s a ton of flavor options for drinks. I got a great medium spiced chai latte with blackberry, a small lemonade refresher that was a bit strong for me but my brother loved it, and the lemon loaf. They were quick to get everything out.
