Great service, just not a good burger. It's unfortunate because they seem to be using high quality ingredients. The toppings were nice and I saw Pat LaFreida patties and Martin's Potato Rolls for buns. So why was the food not good?
Firstly, the meat probably had good potential, especially if it was Pat LaFreida. However, it was extremely overcooked. There was no juice whatsoever and all of the fat had been rendered off, so it was not a good flavor. The patty was overdone, instead of an ideal medium or even juicier medium rare.
Next, the buns were not toasted. Martin's Potato Rolls are arguably some of the best hamburger rolls/buns. But they need a solid toast with butter to bring out their flavor. Furthermore, an untoasted bun just get's soggy (when the meat is cooked properly).
Then there's the cheese. It's a classic white American. I would have appreciated a yellow American option, as it makes for a more balanced flavor. White American is very sticky and salty, which I find not very pleasant. Yellow American seems to be the more traditional cheeseburger cheese, so that option would be much better.
Finally, the price. The basic burger, running $8 with lettuce, tomato, and raw onion is a fair price assuming the meat is cooked properly, juicy and flavorful. But then the "Beach Classic" burger, which comes with lettuce, tomato, raw onion, and pickles, runs $10.50. $2.50 more for just pickles?? I asked for a side of pickles and put them on myself, which did not cost anything extra.
All things considered, I see the potential with Burger Boyzz. Though, until they stop overcooking the patties and start toasting the buns with butter, I wouldn't...

So some feedback. First the kids. The Mac and cheese is nothing special and offered little to no flavor. Highly recommend that something be done to make this your own. If it’s homemade an oven should be involved. Not just cheese sauce on pasta.
The burgers were good and appropriately priced. I would suggest either a $1 chip option or just raise the price to offer bag or house chips with all entrees. The only thing on the sandwich that needs improvement is sadly the burger itself. As the store seeks to draw a five guys or smash burger vibe, you cannot just throw a pre-formed patty from your food supplier on the grill. Consider legit ground chuck. Given the quality of the standard burger I am not eager to try a filet mignon patty at an up charge and a well done temperature. That being said the toppings and bun were high quality. So just sync these up and you will live up to the franchise name. For reference we as both the Ocean Blue and Asbury Juke.
Onion rings were also top notch.
Kudos to the owner for adding porkroll to menu. Highly recommend you highlight that more given the local draw.
We will try the dessert next time but overall not quite the $16-25 burger joint we...
Read moreI’ve been there 2 times now and had the same experience both times. Very long wait for food and in both cases they had 1/2 of the order done about 30 minutes before the second half of the order. After the first visit I can’t believe it happened again The place was empty but I was told they were slammed with online door dash and delivery orders. I’d think they would at least treat the customers that came in a bit better than what we received. Food was ok but the burger rolls were too small and looked and tasted like cheap strohmann supermarket rolls, and when it is $73 for 3 people to have a burger, fries, and a soda, there is no excuse for that. I was so excited to see the place finally open, but after 2 visits, I won’t go back. It’s a shame for sure, but this is truly a place someone will likely visit 1 time or maybe 2 at most before just giving up and not coming back. I realize there are other locations, and maybe the staff at the AsburyAve location just hasn’t...
